Seth Rogan recommended Ghostbusters (1984) in Movies (curated)

"That was just good ol’ high-concept fun. Evan and I always like to take ridiculous situations and handle them as though they were real. That’s kind of where the idea of Pineapple Express came from. These ridiculous action movie situations and you handle it just how two idiots would handle it. And that’s kind of what Ghostbusters did. It’s a ridiculous concept but it was handled very much, “How would four dudes do that, you know?” And it’s great. I love that movie."

The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018)
The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018)
2018 | Adventure, Drama
With the title The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot i was not sure what to think going in. This is a nice little gem i would recommend to anyone. I would not watch it again but it was good. It has some interesting ideas and worth viewing. Ehen you think it should be over you find out it is not and i think that is where i did not like it.
Yes this movie does have Hitler and Bigfoot in it.

Yesterday (2019)
Yesterday (2019)
2019 | Comedy, Fantasy, Music
For me, this film was OK. Nothing more. There was some good moments and you cannot fault the tunes. But I felt no real connection with the main character Jack and Ellie. Jack seemed very bland with no charisma. Ellie had more a out her and you felt , strangely, she held something for Jack. What his friends saw in him also I dont know.
But, that aside, the film was an ok watch. Yes, some things just weren't explained like how did 2 other people know about the Beatles and to what actually happened with the black out?
But never the less, the film plodded along and keeps you interested to what happens at the end. Other than that...hmm? Music-film wise, Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman are far, far superior to this.
As for the Ed Sheeran cameo...luckily his song writing is far better than his acting.

Terry Crews recommended 300 (2007) in Movies (curated)

300 (2007)
300 (2007)
2007 | Action, Drama

"Another one that I have to say – because I am an artist, I am a graphic designer and an art guy – is 300. That literally was a seismic shift in filmmaking for me, because Zack Snyder took this thing in such a creative direction. It was like, every frame, you could frame on your wall. You could literally take each piece of that movie, frame it, and it would stand as a piece of art, and that’s what I loved about that movie. Gerard [Butler] is my friend; we did Gamer together, and that’s all I could talk about on set. I was like his 300 groupie on that whole movie, you know? [laughs] But the power and the simplicity of what it was all about, too. Zack got to the archetype of what all the characters were; the story was simple, it was powerful."

Urban Legend (1998)
Urban Legend (1998)
1998 | Horror, Mystery, Thriller
Great cast (1 more)
Original idea of the killings based on Urban Legends
A cool, slick, Slasher film
This is a cool Slasher film that had a similar vibe to Scream and I know what you did last summer. It was released just after those films. The cast was very popular at the time including Robert Englund of Freddy fame and others from big teen shows at the time. Definitely one for Slasher fans with plenty of twists to keep you guessing who the Killer is, including the obligatory creepy janitor. If you missed it give it a whirl.

The final in a wonderfully written trilogy this story brings together some of my favorite things. Reliance on someone that you barely know and fighting for what you believe in while conquering yourself. While I did get a tad bored through some of it most of the book follows the same format and writing style as the first two. This makes it an easy read that can be done all in one sitting. You will find yourself swept into the world and enjoying the main characters while rooting for them.
Perfect for fans of the Chronicles of Narnia.
