"So, for #5, I can either choose The Last Picture Show, Old School, or A Woman Under the Influence. Probably Old School, with Will Ferrell, when he goes “Hi honey, do you think KFC’s still open?” [laughs]"

Though it is likely a personally biased opinion, this movie will always be hilarious to me. Classic Will Ferrell and a phenomenal supporting cast of Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, David Koechner, and a slew of other stars make this a film that can be watched again and again while seeing something new every single time.

"Be careful when discussing this film. If it randomly comes up in conversation, do not immediately start lecturing about how insightful it is in unspecific terms, because there’s a high likelihood the other person will think you’re actually referencing that movie where Will Ferrell coaches a soccer team. This will problematize the conversation in an interesting way, and you may be unfavorably compared to Armond White."

Great cast, poor script...
In most cases, I love the films of Will Ferrell, his silly humour, his screen presence, so this one was a major disappointment.

The casting choices are great, Will Ferrell and Zach Galafianakis, you would have thought it would have been a hit comedy, but this is a low point in both of their careers.

The script was poorly written, using poor jokes (I love a bad dad joke, but these just weren't funny in the slightest), and dull physical humour.

The film was just generally dull, barely managing to crack a smile on my face once.

Never been a total fan of eurovision song contest over the years due to absurdity and the campness of it all and why after 60 years why do we still need to hold this contest every year anymore the UK entrant hasn't won 1997 24 wasted years of trying why don't we just give up.
Anyway the movie I laughed so much at the movie that was send up of eurovision and its campness even an apprentice from Grahame Norton sending up himself. Will ferrell is brilliant as the lead with Rachel mcadams as his support not forgetting pierce brosnan and Dan Stevens in support. Overall best euro song contest I've seen in years doest mean I will be watching tomorrow night

Thoroughly brilliant Christmas tale that can be quite hilarious at times as this is Will Ferrell in his element as the manchild and innocent titular character, it has wide appeal and great set pieces and an early role for game of thrones Peter Dinklage. "Santa, I know him"

Not the best Will Ferrell movie, not the best Adam McKay movie... not even the best Will Ferrell *and* Adam McKay movie. It's sloppy, looks like utter crap, and the comedy is largely hit or miss (the Steve Carell stuff particularly - working at about one hit for every four misses). All that being said however, when this does hit it's absolutely fucking hilarious and features some of the most cripplingly funny moments I've ever seen in a comedy film (that scene with Ferrell, Armisen, and the cat poop is an all-timer). What this lacks in presentation and consistency it makes up for admirably in categorical absurdity. If this were more polished it'd be a deadpan hall-of-famer about a bunch of colorful (literally and figuratively), dopey goofballs dabbling in real proud juvenility. Instead it ends up being a really good comedy, but there's room for some refining. You won't see me complaining about that too much, though. The cameos are close to flawless.

I've seen this film I don't know how many times and I don't think I'll ever get over it. John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell together are gold and I don't care what anyone says! I also recently listened to a podcast that had Adam Scott on and he talked about his experience on Step Brothers and it made me want to watch the film all over again to notice the things he was talking about!

I think this might be my favorite Reilly-Ferrell film - this or Talladega Nights. It's super funny and enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

If you are looking for stupid funny try this movie. Not great but not the worse i have seen. It is a Will Ferrell movie so what do you expect. It had a great cast but the script was weak. It could have been a better movie if they developed the script more.
