Steampunk Romance
not your typical heroine, Aline, is clever witty and so relatable. She doesn’t need nor want the oh so dashing Russian prince Sasha Romanov coming to her rescue every time something goes wrong. A little something for everyone, with historical character, steamy romance, vampires and automaton puppies. I read all of the Elders and Welders Chronicles and Margaret leaves you craving more. Fingers crossed there is more to come.

I received a copy of Dear Haiti, Love Alaine from Harlequin TEEN (US Canada) through Netgalley.

I seriously love Alaine. I'd love to read more about her.

The story is told through school reports, news, articles and text messages and is a bit jarring at first but the storytelling makes up for it.

It's got family secrets and a curse and a witty protagonist that made me want to cheer.

Keira Knightley with her wooden acting failed to bring the Duchess to life for me. The Duchess appeared to be witty and flamboyant, with intense emotions however Knightley plays her somewhat dispassionately. This then failed to evoke any feelings for the Duchess. Her life seemed pretty awful in general and one should have felt sympathy and pity for her but because she's so blandly portrayed it just didn't rouse my emotions.

This looked interesting from the trailer, a Sky Original comedy, drama with a strong cast. It's very short at 6 episodes and each barely 30 minutes long. It does pack a lot of funny scenes and dialogue in each episode. It was very witty just a shame it's so short. One to blast through in a couple of viewings.

This is my first Dark Hunter and Sherrilyn Kenyon book and all I can say is: Why has it taken me so long?!?! This was amazing! The mix of witty banter, sexy scenes and action had me hooked from the first few chapters. I mean, come on, who wouldn't want to be handcuffed to Kyrian??

I will be keeping my eyes open for more books from the author and this series!

Witty Banter and a Scorching Hot Scott
Whenever I read a Samantha Young book I am genuinely impressed. I was lucky enough to receive an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I have to say that I LOVED it! This is a book that I will have to read over and over. I loved it so much that I'm tempted to sit down and read it again.

Samantha Young is able to create characters that just inspire you. The characters feel real, they feel raw, and when they cry it makes me want to cry. I love how in depth the characters in Fight or Flight are. They seemed so real to me. One thing that I absolutely loved about this book is the banter between the characters. The bantering just set this book apart. It's witty, and touching at moments.

The plot line was really interesting and something that I haven't read before. I loved how touching it was and I even loved how frustrating the plot line became. I wanted to scream at the characters at points which shows me just how invested I was in the characters.

Ultimately, this book captures the magic that Samantha Young had with "On Dublin Street" and added some amazing bantering. This is one of my favorites by her. If I could give it more stars, I would.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
