I gave it 100 pages but couldn't get into the story. The blurb sounds good but I didn't like the characters or writing style. May be better for younger readers.

The writing of the settings for me was also brilliant and I could see every detail as I read about them.

Great writing, I enjoyed descriptions without feeling it was too much.
Characters were relatable.
I loved The Artist Way. I was excited about this one. It was a great help in getting me started in writing freely again. I will be rereading this one again.

So much attention to detail with the family meals. The jazz interludes on the audio book were fun. The writing wasn't terrible, but everything felt disconnected. Read/listen to something else.
