Can you really know someone after writing a few letters? This was an interesting film based on a true story of a woman who believed she had found her true love. the fact he was in prison for murder did not faze her and she was determined to have him released. She contacts two writers to investigate his case to try and get him freed. I really wanted to find out whether he was innocent or not and the twists and turns keep you gripped throughout. Very compelling.

This author's unique and creative writing style took me a few chapters to get use to it and in to it as it is narrated in first person but once I fell in there, I was completely held captive by the story line and the characters. This is not your typical, everyday romance, and this was honestly an intriguing and thrilling read.

{I received an eARC when I signed up to participate in the release blitz. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed here are unbiased and my own.}

Another enthralling entry into the Lethbridge-Stewart line, once the action starts it doesn't let up. Cross exhibits a nice handle on writing action scenes and at times channels Stephen King with creepy images of rats surging up from flooded New York subway lines. The plot is a little standard for what we've come to expect from the Great Intelligence, but it's still handled well. Our band of heroes all have moments of awesome, and it's an all-around solid book. Full (spoiler filled) reviews available at www.travelingthevortex.com

Things have plateaued a bit in this second volume of the Eleventh Doctor series 2 comics. The yarn is still enjoyable, and the writing still compelling, but whereas the first five issues really kickstarted things, this middle section suffers from simply being the middle section. The first two are great, the third is good, the last two seem like padding to stretch the story out for the full season. Here's hoping the resolution to come is as good as the set up was, in which case I may have to edit my ranking...

You can watch it 20 times (I have) and still find new gems of comedy genius (5 more)
The writing, quite unsurprisingly, is brutally intelligent
It manages to tickle your ribs at every opportunity
If you don't normally like Python, you can just remember bits of dialogue and sound like the master of wit in front of your friends.
Roger the shrubber, the Black Knight, coconuts, French insults and African Swallows. It's all in there!
Will distort your view of Arthurian legend forever
Makes Ben Hur Look Like An Epic!

Might not be reviewing for a while as I'm concentrating my writing efforts on my novel. I'll try to stay as active as possible and if I see a new film I'll review it as soon as I can :) on the 22nd of this month I will be able to post my Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge (a.k.a Dead Men Tell No Tales) review so keep your eyes out for that, but until then I won't be as active as I usually am. I'm sure you'll all understand :)

Well once the Novel has been completed I shall be requesting volunteers to put their names forward as potential beta readers. These names shall be randomly selected by a name generator so that it is fairly chosen and I will allow them to review the book as long as there are no spoilers :)

as with season 1 - This show doesn't need a long review - it's too perfect. Too funny. Too clever. the chemistry between James Spader and William Shatner as Alan and Denny respectively draws you in and makes you wish they were your buddies, that you could hang out with them on the penthouse office balcony, talking philosophically about life with a cigar in one hand and a fine scotch whiskey in the other. The cast is superb and the writing brilliant...Thank you David E Kelly et al.
