This is the first book by this author that I've read and it definitely wont be the last. I was completely hooked with the characters. I loved how the story unfolded as you read, it just flowed really well. This book has the perfect mix of sweet, emotional, feisty scenes. This author has a fab way of bringing the characters to life through there writing. I can't wait to read more from them in the future.

A Pleasant Surprise
OMG! I can't believe I spent the day reading this book. I must admit that I honestly didn't think I'd get through this read because at first, I was a bit bored. However, it didn't take long before I realized that I was eagerly turning the pages.
Hanna is super creepy, truly disturbed and knows just how manipulative she can be. Witnessing the dynamics of this young family through the author's writing style was truly a pleasant surprise and I recommend you give this book a try.

Movie Metropolis (309 KP) rated Poseidon (2006) in Movies
Jun 10, 2019
Billed as an antidote to those of us who didn’t like the romantic elements of 1997’s box office behemoth, Titanic; Poseidon had the makings of a great disaster film.
Unfortunately, a ballooning budget that ended up reaching $160million and a lacklustre story that featured incredibly wooden characters meant Poseidon sank like a stone upon its release.
It did manage to recoup some of that budget back through home video release, but Warner Bros. still ended up writing the film down as a massive loss.

Epic Adventure Awaits!
My favorite movie of all time. I have seen this movie over a million times it seems. I can never get enough. The chemistry between Mandy Patinkin, Andre the Giant and Shawn Wallace is amazing. Billy Crystal is Miracle Max, adlibbing his way through the movie is total genius. Who wouldn't love an adorable blonde pirate played by Cary Elwes and Buttercup played by Robin Wright, in her first movie role. This is a not to be missed movie. Fun for all ages.

This was a very interesting and different take on a story. I really enjoyed the different aspect to this story. Parts were slower then normal for my liking but overall I enjoyed the characters and their tale. The writing made me feel like I was part of the story in most parts. The heat wasn't as much as I was expecting between the characters but it was a very good start and I will enjoy seeing where this series goes. I'm glad I was given this for an honest review.

This was an amazing emotional rollercoaster. The beginning started as a "wow.. yum" and then turned sad and I was like awww... From there I felt for O and for Lena. This is definitely a sexual story so if you aren't into f/f with lots of sex don't bother to read this story. I really enjoyed it though. The complicity of the characters, the sadeness, the love, the sex, all of it was wonderful. The writing was superb and had a lot of action and intrigue involved in it.

Fantasy isn't one of my favorite genre's but this was a short, sweet and fun story to read. The descriptive writing was amazing. I felt like I was seeing everything as it was happening. I felt like I could feel what was going on, the sea, the water, the sand, the people everything. It was a fun, easy read. I enjoyed how not everything was easy for her.. how things were bad.. and things were good.. Overall this was a very enjoyable story and I am excited to see what happenes next.

The message that being different is good and should be celebrated as much as normality is.

LOVED IT

I'm only adding to my negative thing, but it contains spoilers so I'm writing it here - Jenny was a complete b*tch. She knew she was just an act to Barnum. He did let her know at the beginning. What was the point in moving in on him? He introduced her to his wife and daughters!

A chain reaction of events
Without revealing too much about the ending, the story follows retired Tony, who re-evaluates his life after receiving a letter from a solicitor. It's a fairly simple drama about how someone's inconsequential actions can have a big impact on another.
Tony is led to remember a time in which his school friend killed himself while dating his ex-girlfriend at university. And his own actions which ultimately causes him remorse. It is a poignant and tragic tale of thinking before speaking. Wonderful, humanistic writing by Julian Barnes.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2585 KP) rated Diamonds for the Dead in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Josh Handleman has returned home to bury his father. But he's barely arrived when he starts hearing rumors that his father was murdered and that he owned a bunch of diamonds. The diamonds are now missing. Were they why he died? This is a very atmospheric story with wonderful writing. The story was a bit slow to get going, but once it did, I was completely hooked.
