OK is a good word to describe this novel. I found it weird that it was deemed a YA novel, but was from the viewpoint of the parents. The mystery wasn't all that mysterious, and it was predictable. The premise sounded amazing, but it was ultimately lack-luster.

Upon first glance I assumed it was just another take on the post-apocalyptic world. It's not even close to that. It's full of mystery and romance. I was hooked right away. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. And the plot twist ending was not one I saw coming at all. Books like this is why I continue to read YA.

History isn’t everything
Adam Silvera is a really good author if you want a YA gay realistic fiction with a twist.
In this heartbreaking endeavor, the twist is that our main character is addressing the entire novel to his dead first love, using “you” throughout the “Today” sections to speak directly to him. Silvera plays with time and pieces together the mystery of Theo and Griff’s past beautifully.

Ay sup peeps! I'm here in India, ridiculously bored, and I need some good YA novels to read. Also, I don't want boks about "Miss Slightly Popular and Her Crush that Obviously Likes Her but for Some God-Forsaken Reason She Doesn't Know" NO. I need books about LGBTQIA+ characters. Characters who break stereotypes. Characters from different religions. I don't care about their gender. I don't care about the genre (Unless it's mystery. I cannot stand mystery.) Please. I need some good books.

Also, I'm pretty well-read, s give me books you don't think I've heard of. Or John Green. I'm always ready to cry. Always. (HP REFERENCES FTW)

This was a good YA fantasy, especially for younger teens. There's no bad language or sex, and the teens acted very much like teens. A sweet love story, a bit of mystery, and another world all combine to make this a fun listen!

Angel Clark did a great job with the female teens voices, inflections and all.
