It's that time of the year. It's time for all the scary movies of vampires, werewolves, monsters, ghosts, witches, zombies, aliens, and the scariest of all, other HUMANS, to invade our screens.

So tell me, do you like scary to watch movies?

Comment with your favorite scary movie or genre.

I love them!
They're ok.
They're not really my thing.
I only watch them from between my fingers.
I hate them!
Ha! Nothing scares me!

Liked these movies always wanted to know what was gonna happen to alice next and this movie kinda brings closure to the series Milla jovovich plays alice one last time. Not the best resident evil and not the worst the movie suffers too much from trying to end to many storylines butthats my only issue with the movie zombie effects are great as usual if this is the last movie ito sure went out with a bang

I was struggling with this before I put it "on hold" and after reading a few reviews of the book on here I've realised that as much I quite like zombies books--as long as they feature some romance--that this is quite lacking in that respect as the characters don't end up meeting until near the end.

As I've mentioned in other reviews I read a book for the romance aspect and it seems like this is sadly lacking.

I love this series so much! I'm glad Rachel continued it :)

She's done such a good job of writing a post apocalyptic world consumed by zombies, with few humans remaining, and with main characters that have managed to find love.

I still love all the characters!

One thing, though. Why won't Kane die?! He's crazy and unkillable (not sure that's a word but oh well) no matter what they do to him.

Looking forward to reading the next instalment!

A film about survival after a viral pandemic outbreak. It was more of a drama than a horror film, so if you're expecting zombies etc, you'll be disappointed. It touches on a few issues of trust when everyone has to look out for themselves, a very bleak film overall. The cast was good and it's well made, you might just be a bit misled by how it's advertised. Starring Emily VanCamp of @Revenge - Season 1

Engaging storyline, ridiculously replayable. (0 more)
Some small glitches occasionally, as many games have. Also the multiplayer gets old quite quickly. (0 more)
A game set 20 years into the zombie apocalypse. You play as Joel, an old time survivor who is given the task of taking Ellie, a seemingly normal teenage girl, across the US. With a great script, some beautiful animation and scenery and a journey showcasing many different sides of a post-apocalyptic world, you get to decide yourself whether zombies or humans make up the real threat.

"My friend, Ian La Frenais, gave me that, a cassette of it. He goes, "bet you haven’t heard this for a few years" because he’d found it in his drawer. And he gave to me and I played it for months, it must have been. I just loved all the songs on it. I love Colin Blunstone’s voice on it. And lovely, crafted songs. Great harmonies, what more could you want? I love The Zombies. This strikes me as lovely all the way through."

A great evolving game
This is a great game, with multiple mechanics, almost like Cabin in the Woods (an amazing film)... Depending on what you roll and what items you pick up, depends your fate... From zombies, to Dracula and evil doppelgangers! It's great fun, and can get quite tense!

Verdict: Delightful

Story: Little Monsters starts when a washed up musician Dave (England) breaks up with his girlfriend Sara (Townsend) moving in with his sister Tess (Stewart) and her son Felix (Le Torraca), after getting his heart broken, Dave gets left on his last warning with Tess and after he meets Felix’s teacher Miss Caroline (Nyong’o) he ends up agreeing to go on a school trip.
When the trip seems to be going well, the school kids, Miss Caroline and Dave must find safety as zombies have broken free and heading to the petting zoo, joined by celebrity children’s host Teddy McGiggle (Gad) they must stay safe or face death.

Thoughts on Little Monsters

Characters – Miss Caroline is the kindergarten teacher that has the respect from all her students, treating them like nothing is going wrong no matter what is happening, she will always remain calm, with a smile on her face she takes complete control of the zombie outbreak. She has seen the father hit on her in the past which makes it easy for her to ignore them. Dave was once in a metal band, he had a girlfriend he always fought with him leading to him moving in with his sister and nephew. He is a terrible role model for Felix with his swearing, not listening and accepting it ok for a 5-year-old to play zombie games. He wants to get to know Miss Caroline and over this school trip he learns that there is more to life. Teddy McGiggle is a children’s entertainer who is world famous with every kid loving his work, when the zombies arrive, he shows the worst in mankind. The kids are all brilliant without being annoying like most would become in zombie films.
Performances – Lupita Nyong’o is wonderful to watch being a ray of sunshine through the film, bring a character that is completely different to anything we have seen before. Alexander England is excellent too, being someone, you could never see around children, getting so many laughs in the film. Josh Gad is great too, though it does seem like his character is slightly too much over the top at times. The young actors look like they are having a ball which is important for a film like this.
Story – The story here follows a teacher, a washed up musician and a group of school kids that get trapped during a zombie outbreak in a petting zoo. The best way to describe this story would be that we be, that we are focused on the human factors over the zombies, who are just background problem. We get to see how one man must learn about his life and start taking it more serious after years of wasting his time. We see zombies tackled a different way without needing to give us any sort of flashy zombie kill, which most all try to do, this is a character piece that shows positivity can give you hope no matter what is in your way. If you don’t end up smiling by the end of this film, it will be a surprise.
Comedy/Horror – The comedy is the highlight of this film, we get plenty of laughs, being part of the idea of Dave saying things or doing things around children along with how relaxing the survival attempts end up looking.
Settings – The film is mostly set on a petting zoo, which is meant to be a happy place for the children, despite it turning into a nightmare situation for the adults once the zombies come out.
Special Effects – The zombies are done with great practical effects, while any of the violence is withheld away from the camera.

Scene of the Movie – The tractor rescue.
That Moment That Annoyed Me – It seems like we didn’t need Teddy’s character if we are being completely honest.
Final Thoughts – This is a truly delightful watch, with loveable characters, adorable kids and a fresh take on the zombie genre, showing it is about the characters, not the zombies.

Overall: Enjoyable from start to finish.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
2019 | Shooter, Strategy
The latest game in the popular Plants Vs Zombies series has arrived with Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. The game continues the recent trend of the Third Person Shooter style of recent games vs the tactical strategy of the earlier games in the series.

Set in a vibrant and highly-detailed theme park; players go through various tutorial missions which provide instruction on everything from combat to customization as well as upgrades and all aspects necessary to survive the Zombie hordes.

The game cleverly divides gameplay between campaign and multiplayer by allowing players to use Launch Pads to access the Multiplay area of the park where you can battle with or against other online players.

The campaign is a fun and whimsical adventure where players have to do things such as increase their cool by gaining a new look in order to access a specific area.

Moving around a large open-world area complete with all sorts of characters, main, and side quests. From the Suburbs to the beach, and downtown, players will battle all kinds of dangerous and funny Zombies. There are the traditional ones, as well as ones who use traffic cones and window panes in order to block your attacks and absorb more damage. There are also more dangerous Zombies and players will be happy to see some old favorites like the Football Zombie.

Picking the right characters is key as I started with a Pea Shooter but upgraded to a large ear of corn that I dubbed “Colonel Corn” for my gameplay. There are other plants and customizations but I liked the rapid-fire attack that works better for me. There are also special abilities such as being able to flip a large distance which is key in avoiding combat and also firing a corn rocket to take out large hordes.

This is where the customization really shines as players can not only update their look and class; but also their abilities which is key to gaining the upper hand in the game.

Players who have been fans of the prior games in the series will see much to like in the game as the world is fun, visually appealing, and inviting and lots of fun to play.

The graphics and sound in the game are great and even after playing the previous games; this one blends old and new in a winning formula.
