Great fight scenes
Good 80's soundtrack
Explosive action
A good action film with some great action scenes. The fights are awesome, gritty and well edited. It's not surprising from the same director as @John Wick (2014), this has a similar slick visual style to it. Charlize Thereon looks stunning and really gave her all in the action scenes. The plot can be a bit confusing with a lot of double crossing but overall it's an enjoyable stylish film.

A fast pacey action packed thriller

Not a bad action thriller with a cast most of who i had never heard of (other than William Fichtner). Its very action packed and the story is credible. It has just the right amount of tension to keep you watching. Not blood thirsty by any means though it does have an R certificate for violence (be advised). I definitely enjoyed it and would rate it well worth a watch

Sentimental action
I really enjoyed the first equalizer film, which was in the typical action film mould. I guessed this would be more of the same. The storyline is a bit different this time and doesn't follow on directly from the first. This feels more personal and sentimental this time round. There is just as much dialogue as there is action. It makes the film a bit more realistic, but at times the pacing is off. It has a pretty good finale but maybe could have done with a bit more action overall. Still an enjoyable film, just a bit different from most action films.

All out Action
If you're a fan of action films, you'll probably enjoy this one. The fight scenes and gun fire is pretty much non-stop from the start. There are some very impressive looking scenes shot up-close from a handheld camera. However, behind this constant action is a mediocre storyline.
Chris Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake, a ruthless mercenary who is hired to complete the 'extraction' of the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. After collecting the child (Ovi), Tyler embarks on a dangerous mission to get him to safety.
Whilst they are being hunted, Tyler and Ovi find unlikely friendship in each other and Tyler decides he will do anything to ensure that Ovi makes it to safety.
