Too many characters in this book was struggling to keep up with every one. Not as good as the last 2 in the series. Needs more action and less sex (hell! Did I just write that!), sadly I was skipping through the sex trying to find more story action :-(

Watched this on Netflix a while ago now.
I did enjoy this - I love a good action film - but it made Chris Hemsworth's character into a one man army for most of the film. That being said, I'm hoping that there will be a sequel.

The established hitman universe
Incredible gunplay
Solid fight choreography
Decipherable cinematography during action
Best Action Movie Post-Matrix
The problem with many modern action movies lies in the bullshit concept known as "shaky-cam." Perhaps well meant at first, in order to make audiences "feel" the impact of punches and gunshots, it is now so overused that you can't even tell what's going on or who is hitting who in many action movies. Enter John Wick: not a single use of "shaky-cam." Not one. All camera shots during action sequences are stable and staged at angles that allow the audience to see exactly what is going on. I used to think Jason Bourne was the best action series post-Matrix, but John Wick and its sequel changed that as fast the titular character can shoot another goon in the head. The fight choreography is sublime, the script is simple but tight, and Keanu Reeves is slicker than ever. John Wick is the best action movie since The Matrix, and it just so happens to star the same bad-ass guy we've been dreaming of being since 1999. Now I have to go review John Wick: Chapter 2!

Awesome shoot outs
A very stylish action packed film
A very good old fashioned action film. Simple plot with a former hitman coming out of retirement on a quest for revenge. This doesn't try to be anything it's not, just action packed with crazy fight and shoot out scenes. The difference is that you can see the attention to detail in every scene. From the lighting, camera angles and fight choreography the film has a very slick visual style to it.

Lots of action at the start but not a lot in the remainder of the novel
Will they?
This novel starts with the same level of action that is expected from the previous instalment in the series, although this quickly diminishes as the story continues. I found the majority of this story to be whimsical but lacking any action as the author attempts to build the story to a grand finale which never quite happens.
