Surprisingly good
I wasn't expecting much from this seen as it had a new director in Justin Lin,but it's actually very good - surprisingly so for a third film. The effects are great, the story is interesting and it's nice to see some of the supporting characters get a bigger part after Into Darkness (Bones, Scotty). My main issue is with Krall. Despite the films best efforts to make him a terrifying enemy, i just found him a little weak and the cg face was reslly offputting. Shame as Idris Elba is a fantastic actor and he could've been given more to work with.

Visually Stunning
Not quite worth all the awards, but great cast
What a strange film. It basically entails Michael Keaton's character, an aging, flailing theatre actor, who is basically having a nervous breakdown and hallucinates throughout the movie.
While the cast is absolutely incredible (Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts), and the acting is equally top-class, the film itself feels like it falls short.
The cinematography is quite stunning, especially the dream sequence with the bird itself. But I am slightly baffled to how this was put up for so many Oscars. A good film, but not a great one.

Mesmerizing Imagery
An Artistic Masterpiece
The imagery created in this film was nothing short of a masterpiece. The fractured world took on a whole new world of its own as this spiralling piece came together. The film was executed to perfection, nothing short of any film that Cumberbatch has been in, however as much of a fan as I am I cannot begin to see the correlation in his character roles throughout all of his films. Although he is much beloved to me as an actor I watch and hope to find some new angle or twist that he brings to his next role.

Snoozefest
I rented this movie with high expectations because of my love for both Dwayne Johnson and Neve Campbell and I guess it's true what they say. Every actor does one bad movie in their career. For Dwayne Johnson Skyscraper is it. I felt this movie would keep me on the edge of my seat but the plot fell short for me and it shouldve made me feel for these characters but there was something lacking and honestly it didnt suck me in and I could've cared less if the family survived or not in the end. Def not my favorite

Disney tv movie can't remember if it was a wonderful world of Disney or a Disney channel movie based on the tower of terror ride. It is the anniversary of the disappearance of kid actor Sally shine and 4 other people who disappeared when lightning hit the Hollywood tower hotel. Disgraced reporter buzzy played by Steve Guttenberg gets a visitor and decided to go there to take a story with his niece played by Kristen dunst. Is the story true, are there ghosts, evil forces, or nothing but dust in this tower only watching it will you find out. A little cheesy but good Disney fare.

That comb-over!
Great cast does a great job with this interesting story of two decent con artists recruited by the FBI to take down even bigger corrupt individuals and the mob.
The script and acting are both excellent and really engage you in the story and get quickly invested in their lives. The 70s fashion and music are also two more interesting characters in the film.
When you look at Christian Bale (who gained 40 pounds for this role), it's hard to believe he's the same actor who played Batman and was in The Machinist where he was skin and bones.
Highly recommended.

Paul Bethany makes this film
I wasn't sure about this movie the first time I watched it, but over the years I have come to respect Paul Bettany so much as an actor that I will watch, and enjoy, anything he's in. This story centers around Mo, and his ability to read characters out of books. He's known as a silvertongue. But when he accidentally swaps his wife into a book, releasing a criminal in her place, he refuses to ever read aloud again.
This movie is good. It's worth a watch if you're in the mood for something different and enjoyable.

The voice actors
The animation style was really cool, and I'm sure it would have looked amazing in 3D. The voice-actors were also top-notch, I don't think any other actor could have done Spider-Man Noir like Nicholas Cage. I'm not really a Miles Morales fan because I'm not in the target demographic, but this film made him palatable.
The only thing that annoyed me was that it was another Spidey origin story, and frankly, I don't know how many more Spidey origin stories I can take.
This movie is going to kill the other wide releases here in the US this weekend.

A classic that you have to see at least once in your life
Good direction, you get to hate the antagonists and the main actor wins your heart. Oliver Twist is a book classic if you can read the book before the movie, read it. If not, then pictured the characters as in the movie sometimes help you more.
As I said, Oliver Twist is a classic both, movie and book. You have to watch it as a must, more so, in the holidays season.
