How much you can relate to the characters
So where the begin! There will be no spoilers in this review not because I'm a mean person but this book is a treasure for your mind to delve into. This was the first book I read in the Immortals after dark series it was a present from a dear friend who has similar tastes in books as i . At first I didn't know some of the characters from previous books in the series (of course i didn't know about the full series till after this novel) but once finished the characters are ingrained into the very fibers of your being. I can tell you Nix is a legend, bowen is as cunning as a wolf and has a few caveman tenancies to be sure and the likeability and how much you can relate to mariketa is amazing I can tell you now I hunted down everything written by kresley Cole and pre ordered all future releases within minutes! the way kresley writes is positively enthralling, from the very first page until the back cover the words grip you by your eyeballs and sucks you into the very pages between your fingers! If you can put this book down you are a stronger willed person than I! This book was finished in one sitting, it was in the wee hours of the morning to my horror I finished reading ....Weeping and balling soon followed when the last page was turned it felt as though I lost the characters from my soul ... Soo I ended up reading it again and then again months later! My dear friends addiction is not a strong enough word for this book and all those that come before or follow on in the series, kresley Cole is one of my favourite authors and reading her books is an addiction to which I will never be able to abstain from. Surrender your mind and escape to a world like our own but with darker depths, surreal planes and exceptional beings of the lore that star in this series

I had such high hopes for this book, it had so much praise from famous authors, but I was left quite disappointed.

The whole story was told from multiple perspectives, but Caroline is the main lead. It is mainly her story, and her life events, which are discussed. Even though I would not praise Caroline’s actions in this book, I could not blame her for them either. She had to endure quite a lot in her marriage, and I am really surprised that they decided to make it work because it should be a really hard job to do. I really enjoyed Francis’s story in this book as well, had a good insight into addict’s mind.

The narrative of this novel was interesting and quite original, outlining domestic problems and emotions that these events create, but I would not be able to call this book a thriller, because it did not give me any thrills whatsoever. I did like the twists and turns in this book, they did wake my curiosity of what these events are all about. I missed the suspense and more action. I found the topics, such as cheating on your spouse, drug addiction, really amusing to read about. I enjoyed the insight into these problems and the effect it has on different people.

The book is set in London, and narrative travels between present and past, slowly revealing more with every chapter. So, even though the story built up my curiosity pretty well, the climax left me incredibly disappointed. I was expecting some juicy bits to fulfill my expectations, but all I got was “Meh” :/ I did like the length of the chapters and the way R. Fleet ended every chapter with a cliffhanger. (Very smart, very smart indeed…) The writing style and language used were pleasant and easy to read. I would like to throw in a DISCLAIMER, there is plenty of detailed sex scenes in this book followed by substance addiction. So, to conclude, it is an absorbing family drama, filled with mystery, plenty of emotions, and if you are a mystery fan, who is looking for something lighter and less intense, this would be a good choice, I think. Enjoy 🙂

Razor sharp rock and hip-hop fusion
Discovered at random while searching for Rock music released this year, Grandson managed to be heavy and thrilling, while also utilising modern production techniques more usually associated with hip hop and electronic music, the fusion is excellent.
There are five tracks on this EP and each has a distinctive flavour. Apologize is a swaggering endorsement of the self, warts and all, which every listener can adopt as their own personal anthem. Stigmata is a full on, head down rocker that no doubt sets mosh pits ablaze. Is This What You Wanted is a searing enditement of facing the grinding misery of the world, compared with escaping it via indulgence and excess, slower than its predecessors but no less furious. Falling is a tripped out meditation on struggling with addiction. Darkside is the take of a would - be school shooter that drips with menace until it finally drops, when it becomes openly hostile.
