Wanderlust is notoriously difficult to manage. Once you’ve tasted the adrenaline rush of travel, it can feel unbearable to sit at home, knowing that adventure is out there waiting to be had.

But if you can’t always get out and explore, then it’s best to let a book do it for you. The wanderlust-quenching adventures below aren’t the same titles you’ll find on run-of-the-mill lists of “beach reads.”

From Australia to America, and Bulgaria to Burma, The Telegraph draws on 2016’s travel books.

A fine adaptation of whats considered a not-so-great story. Yes it's simplistic and pretty straightforward adventure tale. Yes, it follows very closely to the televised story with only a few minor deviations. Neither of which change the fact that it is immensely enjoyable to read, and as always with novelizations of lost or incomplete stories, it paints a great picture of something we may never get to see in the flesh...

can a second adventure starring Marvel’s most bizarre band of misfits retain the same quirky charm, sense of freshness, and overall weird and cosmically comedic tone of the first movie, while pushing the franchise forward? The answer is both yes and no.

Justice sacrifices him self for his brother who he could never tell and he lands in the void. Keeley has a gift of object reading that causes all around her to think she is crazy. When they meet an the adventure that follows they realize that only together can they be whole. My favorite Warrior of Poseidon. It is a wonderful tale of hope and love with destroying a few vampires in the mix.

in my honest opinion this is a magical movie filled with adventure although you would expect to see more of the magical creatures it is more about newt and dumbledoor there needs to be more of the creatures being a fan of anything harry potter seeing young dumble door and nick flamell was one of the best bits tieing it to the harry potter films.

A disappointing film, that is far too slow paced and never reaches the climax you hoped for. Straight to DVD release and can't say I'd heard of it before, despite Sean Bean being in it was a warning sign. The production is ok, but I thought this would be a big battle, adventure film set in the times of the plague. It's a different type of film altogether and not a particularly interesting one.

Why did it have to end? I want more about them. This novel was amazing and it tied everything up nicely. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to a series. The relationships between the characters made me so happy. I want to know more about their lives after the ending. I would definitely recommend this to any of my friends. Thank you Veronica Rossi for the great adventure through the Aether.

Collin Boyd is walking to work one day when he looks up to see…himself walking to work. Thus begins a wild and crazy fantasy adventure that involves assassins and secret conspiracies. Yes, a decided break from my normal mysteries, but the fast paced story kept me turning pages. Can't wait for the next two.

An entertaining family adventure film most will enjoy. It is big budget and that shows in the amount of CGI effects, but at least they do look good. Not particularly original, it does pay homage to Disney's Fantasia at one point which was a nice touch. Kinda reminded me of the films I enjoyed when I was younger like The Neverending story. Fun for all ages if falling short of a classic.

I LOVE this.
I got it in a Goodreads giveaway, was really looking forward to this one, and it did not disappoint.
A charming story about Pug's adventure, a fun plotline with great humour, and surrounded with wonderful illustrations.
Now to pass on to my 9 and 7 yr old as I know they will like the story, and could easily read it by themselves.
I'll be looking out for future books.
