Rolling Stone's 3rd greatest album of all time
Superb Beatles album, with some of my favourite Beatles songs, particularly Got to Get You Into My Life and Taxman. Again, a diverse range of styles present and all well delivered.

Phenomenal album from The Doors. Featuring the stomping LA Woman, the brooding Riders on the Storm, the upbeat Love Her Madly and a host of other superb songs. Simply wonderful music.

Rolling Stone's 360th greatest album of all time
Good compilation, including the smash hit "Ever Fallen in Love ...". A lot of the rest of the album is nowhere near as strong, with the exception of What Do I Get?

Rolling Stone's 309th greatest album of all time
Excellent album, including the superb anthemic Fortunate Son and a number of other songs in a similar vein. Great introduction to the band and a great example of 70s Southern rock.

Rolling Stone's 209th greatest album of all time
Superb album from one of the bands that made the 90s. Some totally excellent rock songs (Jeremy, Alive, Even Flow) and while there is some filler it is a brilliant listen.

Rolling Stone's 167th greatest album of all time
Superb short album from one of the best metal bands. The only downside, as with other thrash albums of the time, is the sound is a little tinny and lacking bass.

Rolling Stone's 237th greatest album of all time
Strange album, generally mediocre 60s songs with the epic My Generation standing out like a sore thumb. One raw, raucous rock song among all the saccharine Merseybeat was a little unusual.

I was slightly surprised at Courtney Love's voice, being very powerful from the off. No standout tracks with the exception of Doll Parts, but an all-round half decent rock album.
