"There’s a movie called Bowfinger written by Steve Martin that I’ve watched in quarantine and it’s definitely taken me away from all this scariness in the world. It’s so hilarious, and Eddie Murphy is so genius. That’s the one that I come back to. I’ve (also) watched This is the End a bunch of times — maybe four times, something like that — because it’s hilarious."

Beauty and the Beast (2017)
2017 | Fantasy, Musical, Romance
Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite Disney movie and this recreation certainly brought it justice. I also appreciated that we got more of a backstory as it answered questions I had from the first film like "Why does no one remember the prince is he was cursed not too long ago". The storytelling, visuals, and music were stunning and it is a must-see!

Oh my gosh ! what an adorable book - but a bit heavy on the content too - Lina was a strong presence to read about and Ren was just a cutie - I thought their "drama" was a bit overdone an it could have gone without but hey, a book needs a bit of something something to make it a bit more - then again, the whole Lina situation was drama in itself so I think it would have been good either way - also, I think this book would make a spectacular movie!

Highly Entertaining
I love that I don’t have to score on a curve when watching the classics. Movies like Trouble In Paradise really do stand the test of time and are quality movies in comparison with even today’s standards. Sure, techniques may have been adjusted for today’s time, but the movie as is is truly a joy. in Trouble In Paradise, two crooks in love plan a heist against a perfume company executive, but the plot truly thickens when things don’t quite go as planned.

Acting: 10
When it comes to performances, each person played their part extremely well. However, I have to give the biggest nod to Herbert Marshall as Gaston. He handles the role with a suave nature that takes over every scene he appears in. He handles the emotional brunt of the movie in a way where you can truly see how torn he is.

Beginning: 10

Characters: 10
Gaston will make you laugh but he will also make you feel. He is a flawed character with many layers. I love that you really don’t know what he’s going to do next. While I thoroughly enjoyed the two female leads as well, Gaston carried the movie in my opinion.

Cinematography/Visuals: 10
The movie takes you all over Paris from grand hotels to expansive ballrooms. I enjoyed how director Ernst Lubitsch captures the sleight of hand from the thieves. There were also a few shots hit from different angles to capture point-of-view that I especially appreciated. Overall, the cinematography added to the beauty of the film.

Conflict: 10

Entertainment Value: 9
What makes this film so entertaining and separates it from other classics is that feeling of the unknown. I couldn’t guess what was going to happen if I tried and it made me appreciate the movie that much more. In addition, not only does it have its hilarious moments but some emotional ones as well. Trouble In Paradise takes you on a rollercoaster from start to finish.

Memorability: 10

Pace: 10

Plot: 10
Great story that keeps you guessing. Also, the movie proves that less is more with a plot that’s extremely easy to follow but also intuitive. In the end it’s a story that leaves much for interpretation and lets you decide how you think things unfold.

Resolution: 10

Overall: 99
From the beginning, this movie grabs your attention and holds it until the last shot. The more I thought about Trouble In Paradise, the more it captivated me. If you are looking for a quality classic, look no further.

A Movie Packed With Memorable Moments
During a summer vacation in the Catskills, a young woman is introduced to the sensual world of dirty dancing and her life is forever changed. Seriously, I should apply for a job writing loglines.

Acting: 10
No the acting wasn’t the best around, but it gets the job done. Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze are electric on screen together. This movie clearly has no shot without their chemistry. I have to give an honorable mention to Jerry Orbach playing the role of Dr. Jake Houseman. He’s an overprotective father that just wants to see his kids have a good time on vacation. He has a couple of pretty heavy scenes that leave an impact on the movie.

Beginning: 10

Characters: 10.

Cinematography/Visuals: 8
So my mom is a single parent which meant I went with her pretty much everywhere, including the movies. I remember her taking me to see this movie. I didn’t understand that first dance when Baby walked into the workers clubhouse, but I knew it was something my young eyes shouldn’t have been looking at. I appreciate the way director Emile Ardolino captures that raw sensuality. I also loved how the disparity between the rich vacationers and the lower class workers was displayed. It sets up the movie well and remains a constant theme throughout.

Conflict: 9

Entertainment Value: 7
Like a Fast and Furious movie, there is something undeniable about Dirty Dancing. You find yourself entranced when you should be saying, “This is extremely corny.” Sure there are some campier moments that are just ripped from a Hallmark movie, but overall the movie has a definite flare that keeps you entertained from beginning to end.

Memorability: 9

Pace: 9

Plot: 9

Resolution: 10

Overall: 89
Back to that dance scene I mentioned earlier. It happens pretty quickly into the movie, about fifteen minutes in. In two minutes that scene accomplishes more for eroticism than the entire Fifty Shades franchise. Just like the movie, it bleeds passion. Dirty Dancing is a testament that you don’t need hundreds of millions of dollars to make a decent film.

I've been wanting to see this movie all year and I'm glad I did. Am a fan of Edgar wright's movie from shaun of the dead to Scott pilgrim vs the world but this one is his attempt at straight horror and it is brilliant movie. Everything about it the music I can't get downtown out of my head the two leads are Brilliant Anna Taylor- joy can't do no wrong and thomasin mckenzie as elloise just as exceptional also got to mention the suppling cast matt Smith big fan since doctor who days good but I mustn't forget Diana Rigg in her last role who was such a 60s icon who will be missed. There is so much about this movie the 60s setting London itself the way they cut between the actress by showing them in the mirror at the same time. Overall I would say this is one of Edgar wright's best works highly recommend go out and see it also contender for my film of the year

Deep Space Jason
So the reason why this film excist is because new line was just waiting for Freddy vs. Jason to happen. So while thier were waiting, their put out this. And ohh boy it was bad. So bad its good, yes its one of those movies. With already Hellraiser and the Leprechaun had movies in space, so the next villian to be up in space was no question Jason. Also this movie toke place in the future, oh my. So whats the plot then....

The year is 2455. The Place is Old Earth. Once the shimmering blue jewel of the galaxy, Old Earth is now a contaminated planet abandoned for centuries. Yet humans have returned to the deadly place that they once fled. Not to live, but to research the ancient rusting artifacts of the bygone civilizations that caused this environmental disaster. And little does the most recent landing party of intrepid young explorers realize the fate that awaits them.

Their are intresting kills in this movie, also Uber-Jason that is a plus in my book.

The charcters are not intresting, dont even bother with them, expect for Jason. Jason is the only one that you should care about.

Would i reccordmend this movie, yes i would, even though its a dumb movie and that makes no sense. Its still a fun movie to watch.

Happy Valentines Day 3D
So I forgot that this remake came out in 2009 and that this remake came out. I think most people did. I think alot of people did forget that this movie came out. Also people forgot that this movie was in 3-D, yes in 3-D. Did i say 3-D, yes i did. Did i mention it was in 3-D. Also The Final Destintion was in 3-D and came out later on in 2009, so thats intresting. Not really though.

The plot: Ten years ago, an inexperienced coal miner named Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles) caused an accident that killed five men and put a sixth, Harry Warden, into a coma. A year later, on Valentine's Day, Harry woke up and murdered 22 people with a pickaxe before dying. Now Tom has returned home, still haunted by the past. And something else is back in Harmony: a pickaxe-wielding killer in a miner's mask, who may be the ghost of Harry, come to claim Tom and his friends.

Also this movie didnt release in theaters in Febuary, but it was released to theaters in Januray. Couldnt their just wait until Febuary to release it in theaters. Nope, i guess not!!!

If you like the oringal, than you might like this one. Ifnt than just skip it. Love Hurts doesnt it.

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody.

"Timeless stuff that works on all levels. You can choose to experience this movie either as if you were living during a turning point in the twentieth century (Weimar Germany) or as an immersion into a fantastical world that only the best of movies can offer. M is both intellectually deep and a crackling entertainment—chilling, suspenseful, darkly humorous, and rich (in plot, characters, and visual design). There is also a terrific audio commentary by two German scholars."

A Quiet Place: Part II (2021)

If you enjoyed the first film then this is certainly one you have to see in the cinema, director John Krasinski has returned to the story with a passion and you can see that in the production of A Quiet Place Part II and also shows that the first film was indeed worthy of a superb sequel, could we get third times a charm, maybe. It’s been a long wait for this movie, but the wait has certainly been worth it.
