Loved this show when it uses to be shown sky one hard to believe it's 20 years old now. Such a good moving angel away from Buffy the vampire slayer and into his own show bringing Cordelia along for the ride shame it only lasted five seasons. Plus next week going to a angel reunion convention in the UK reuniting the cast after 20 years except angel not coming shame

I am a huge fan of this show and the first season was close to the best season. Introduction to the characters of Angel and relearning about buffy and her Scooby gang was great.

Angel was my favourite episode and it really got me hooked onto the show

If you are a Buffy fan, you will love this.
Recently rewatched this after being a huge fan when it was first on TV. I still loved it. I like the case by case episodes and the way the personal relationships are built. There is a comedic value in Angel that you just don't get in Buffy, it makes it feel a little more grown up. I am still a fan of Buffy, however, I think they got the formula better with Angel.

I still really like this series.

I think it's all about the connection between the two main characters, Elena and Raphael, and the love they share. I like how though she's his biggest weakness, being a newly made angel, she's also the one thing that keeps him grounded and makes him a better person/angel/whatever.

With everything that happens in these books it easy to forget some things but the things I do remember include their first flying together--that was equally exciting and heart-stopping to read about--Sam, he's still a cute little thing, and the prospect of angel babies in the future...aww!

I'm looking forward to reading more in the series!

Alita: Battle Angel (2019) slices, dices and occasionally surprises.
Knowing nothing of the original Manga on which it’s based (the closest I can claim is that I quite enjoy the 2009 animated movie “Astro Boy”, which shares a surprising amount of story with this movie), “Alita: Battle Angel” still held a strong appeal thanks to the names behind and in front of the camera. That faith was well rewarded, with a kinetic, if lightweight, cyberpunk action popcorn flick...

My number 3 title in my #top10 #favourite films is 'Angel-a'
------------------------------------------
#Angela is a very underrated #lucbesson movie but for me its his absolute best work. This #film has had such a massive impact on my life/who I am as a person & for that reason alone its a film I hold so close to my #heart. Essentially a #love story but different to the kind we are used to #Angel-a is #heartbreaking, #funny, #strange & visually #breathtaking. Teaching not only about the importance of love but more about the importance of learning to #loveyourself first Angel-a has such a powerful message especially for people feeling lost in life. Simply #beautiful to look at with every scene looking like a piece of art & directed with such #passion, love & care that I was pulled right into its #weird & wonderful story right from the start. Its an #emotional rollercoaster at times hitting you right in the heart but it also has just enough #crazy Besson style & humour to make it truly unique & different to what you would expect from the genre. Seemingly #inspired by the film wingsofdesire by #wimwenders & just like it Angle-a too is also rich in #philosophy & the cast is an absolute joy to watch. While not for everyone I simply can not describe how much I adore this movie. ------------------------------------------------

Masters' Mistress is the first book in The Angel Eyes series and it tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world where women have taken over and men are kept as slaves. We start off in the past and then skip to the present where most of the story takes place.

A lot of thought has been given to the structure of this world, and like any, there are good and bad characters in it. Angel is one of the good ones (obviously) and is trying to get her world on a more even-footing. Darla and her cronies disagree and want things to remain as they are. There is some reference to how the two sides are 'at war' but nothing really happens in the book to emphasise that apart from Angel outbidding Darla for Bret.

Bret is the main male character with a huge chip on his shoulder. He has baggage in his past but instead of trying to work through it and let it go, holds it to him like a hot water bottle on a cold night. He wants Angel but doesn't like or trust her. Angel wants him but denies her feelings. This leads to a LOT of back and forth - the majority of the book. I'm all for overwhelming feelings of attraction but not when you do something you really don't want to do. I got a bit annoyed with Angel whenever she would "fall apart when he touched her."

This is a long book with plenty of descriptions in some areas and then not in others. I would have liked a bit more of a view of the world outside their ranch but maybe that is coming in the future books. On the whole, this was an enjoyable read that has a sort of HFN ending that leads you onto the next book.
