First DSLR
The Nikon D90 was the first DSLR camera I purchased for myself. I have always taken pictures and have been the "unofficial" photographer in the family. I purchased this camera and started my own photography business. The D90 was an awesome camera. I purchased a few lenses to switch out depending on subject and the ease of changing lenses is unparalleled. The D90 stopped working properly and I have to take it to the shop for repair. In the meantime I purchased a Canon PowerShot, it doesn't even live up to the D90. The only downfall I could possibly say is taking all the lenses along on outings to get the perfect shot etc. The PowerShot does have it beat there as it is an all in one. I'm so happy I ended up with the D90 as my first go around. I recently purchased a D5300 and while I love Nikon, this one isn't as good as my D90.

Kemet
Kemet
2012 | Ancient, Fighting, Miniatures, Mythology
Forces aggressive play creating a fast game with a lot of back and forth (2 more)
Awesome miniature models with great details
Well balanced with a smart combat system
Sheer variety of cards for power ups can make things a bit overwhelming at first (0 more)
Worship, wars and wrecked plans
Initially Kemet can seem a little intimidating with a big selection of power-up cards with a wide variety of benefits and costs. There are so many paths to victory that it might take a couple of games to get your head around it. Once you do start to figure everything out though it's a really fun game, and the victory conditions and points system force players to be aggressive and lead to a real sense of power struggle between the factions.

I've only played this with the full 5 players and imagine it might be quite different with fewer, but I would definitely recommend people give it a go. It's also a blatant stargate rip-off, but I don't count that against it!

Probably my favorite book in the series so far.

I read a bunch of reviews where others disliked this book a lot. I don't understand. This one was GREAT.

We get more arcanery (magic), we get new friends, magic TOURNAMENTS, an old magic school with history and lore, understanding of the past, hope for the future. We get more action, more excitement, and more AWESOMENESS.

People mention things like "pacing" or "teenage angst" or "there were some grammatical errors". COME ON PPL Get over yourselves, I don't see you writing incredible stories in awesome worlds with legit magic-systems, etc! I'll take your reviews seriously when you write something this good. Really, I didn't even notice ANY of that junk because of how good the book was.

Really I was able to read all of the books in a series in a row, didn't have to wait for book 5 to come out. But if I had finished this and had to wait for book 5, I don't know what would have happened...

Rescue food that would go in the bin (0 more)

Brilliant idea for an app
The concept of this app is awesome. Every single day shops and restaurants throw out perfectly good food just because it needed eating that day and can't be sold the following day so into the bin it closes. Just think, that curry restaurant you adore may be throwing out a whole pan full of delicious curry that you would have eaten. The local sandwich shop will bin your favourite mustard sandwich because tomorrow the bread will be stake but today they are good to eat.

What this app does is let restaurants and shops sign up to Karna. A Thai restaurant may be selling a big pan of curry for five days but on the fifth day that needs eating it it will be thrown out. The restaurant will list Thai Green Curry on Karma for remarkably less money and so you save money and the earth at the same time.

Cool huh!

383. A Dark Place. A small town murder mystery and it was pretty awesome. We meet Donald a sanitation worker, a quiet guy, when it comes to work he follows the rules to a T. He's not the smartest of human beings but when his interest in the case of a local missing boy, he becomes Sherlock Holmes, ok maybe not that good but... Donald only the knows the family of the missing boy, because they wave to him when he stops by to pick up their trash, and apparently that is enough for Donald to conduct his own investigation and frankly, does it better than the local police. Donald definitely digs in deep and unearths some troubling truths about the small town. The main character Donald played by Andrew Scott reminded me of Mark Ruffalo playing Forrest Gump. I think you'll see it too. It is a short movie, but does manage to tell a good tale and also include a decent sub plot. For the lover of the small town mystery movie, this is worth the time! Twilight is long gone!
400. Good Time. This is a good one! We meet Connie, a low life criminal with a smooth talent manipulating people. Today he's an incredible jerk and brings his mentally challenged brother, Nick, with him to a bank heist. The job actually goes over pretty smoothly, until police randomly ask them a few questions when spotted walking on the street. Nick can't handle the pressure and bolts, and promptly gets caught and sent to jail, Connie escapes. Now Connie desperately needs to get his brother bailed out, coming up 10 grand short for bail, he goes through a series of events to raise the money fast, including an ill fated jail break! Robert Pattinson was awesome as Connie, have really liked his stuff since leaving Twilight behind! Fast paced, exciting story, that makes you feel for Connie, also makes you want to punch him in the face!! Has a cool 80's synthesizer soundtrack to it. Panic makes a good movie tone. An instant classic
Hot Fuzz is a glorious film, plain and simple.

It's funny, it's crude, it's gory, it's just plain ridiculous at times, and it's very British...
Anyone who lives here in England can confirm - this country is full of little villages and towns where something just seems a bit...off. just like the films village, Sandford.
As Sgt. Angel starts to uncover a sinister conspiracy underneath the idyllic town, Hot Fuzz effortlessly weaves quick humour, with a creeping sense of dread, just like it's predecessor, Shaun of the Dead.

The fantastic trio of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and director Edgar Wright hit all the right comedic notes once again, and the film is riddled with famous faces from the British comedy scene.
It evens features once-James-Bond Timothy Dalton, just being generally awesome and villainous.

The climatic battle, (that likes fun at the silliness of the action genre) is good fun, but it doesn't quite hit the mark that Shaun of the Dead does.

It's still a great film though, I'd implore anyone to give it a go.
