"Georges Franju created a one-of-a-kind horror film that moves you more than it scares you. It has some of cinema’s most potent images and a score that haunts you for days. The Criterion extra of his short documentary Blood of the Beasts is spectacular beyond words—beautiful and disturbing in equal measure."

I enjoyed this more than Blood Moon but maybe that was just an issue with not reading them straight one after another. It may also have something to do with the fact there seemed to be more action in this. I also liked the "then" and "now" method; it was different and kept me interested.

"Strangelove was one of the reasons I called the Coen Brothers. I became a fan after their first movie [Blood Simple], because it had so much of my home about it — I’m from Texas and I knew people who’d worked on it. And it had a sound and style of storytelling I thought was great."
