Set primarily within one location (a house) over the course of one night, this book - for me,at least - is the very definition of a 2-star rating.

Basically a swords and sorcery whodunnit, this is never going to win any awards for either storytelling or originality: I found the denoument to be rather obvious, for instance.

E.I.G.H.T. stories. E.I.G.H.T. characters.

Each character has been wrote with a unique voice. A fresh story and fascinating endings.

It was fresh, unique, and would be good for educational purposes.

There wasn't anything that gripped me, that made me want to read till the end. So, my rating for this book has to be 1/5

I have no idea if I've finished Book One of this mad-cap webcomic. It's different individual comics that have been put together in this book. A lot of them carry on from previous pages but are mixed in here and there to break them up. It's proper crazy at times, funny at others, and admittedly I didn't get some of them.

I'm sure I'll keep reading it at some point but my rating wont change.

To be honest, I didn’t want to rate this book because I loved it for how it provoked me to think, but little things like the pacing, which was understandably slow, made me give it a 4.25 star rating.

There's nothing overly bad about this book, I've given it a lower rating as it took me ages to get through and had to start it twice to get into it. The world is amazing, the whole shape shifter tribe thing is awesome. I loved the 2 main characters and it ended brilliantly.

The cover put me off reading this for years but the rating made me finally read it and woah! Its so good! Better than I was expecting. I am so into Heller and Tilly and Niq and Daniel that I may have to buy book 2 right now so I can start it first thing in the morning!

The end (0 more)
I really enjoyed reading this book set in 'the near future'. The main character is a by-the-books government worker that's sent to investigate terror incidences in the city of Metropolis with an alcoholic AI. It kept me engaged the entire time, until the end. The end just fell flat for me. The ending is what knocked my rating down, sadly.
I still recommend this book for people that enjoy near future stories with a healthy dose of sci-fi.

Why do I have to give a book at least one star for it to be considered rated? 0 is a rating!

I put this book on the "read" shelf just so I won't forget that I tried it and didn't like it. Hambly's writing is excellent, as usual, but I wasn't in the mood for dystopia and I just didn't care much about the characters after the first 100 pages or so. I figure my time is much better spent elsewhere.

I think this book should be required reading for everyone. I would have given this book a 4.5 star rating so I rounded up to 5.

Debbie Tung was able to explain introversion better than any other book I have read. The stories were accurate and relatable. They showed the anxiety and the thought processes that I have gone through. I really appreciated the honesty in this book.

The drawings were well done, and they enhanced this graphic novel a lot. All in all, this is a good graphic novel that can show introverts that they're not alone and show extroverts that there is nothing wrong with being quite. Seriously, just read this.

*I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

My so so rating of this book is definitely partly my fault, it’s been 7 years since I read the last books and while I do remember quite a bit (although probably mixed up with True Blood facts,) I obviously can’t remember some of the past subplots. I liked this one well enough, and this has been a kick to finish the series sooner rather than later.
