The first book of the My Hero Academia series. It was fine. It seemed to take awhile to get to the main action, but I suspect that the series will pick up now that the background has been laid out. The story of how Izuku got accepted into hero school was told in great detail.

The sex scenes are super cringe!
This is the first of a series and I did really enjoy the plot and characters, the sex is a bit cringey but aside from that I am happy to continue with the series!

Still in love with this series, though I didn't think this was as good as the previous. That's not to say it bad because it's brilliant!

Lindsay Buroker has a way with words and always manages to give you a good world and plotline to all her stories. Need book 4 in this series!!

Superb Enticing
Jacqueline Carey gives us an exceptional series and is a gifted author . When one reads the Kushiels series the descriptive writing has you feeling like you are there with the characters. You see the green mountainsides and feel the dry desert heat. This is an enjoyable historical fiction book with a lot of sexuality: about a different culture. The series of books has depth and character development with a wonderful historical fiction background.

This is the first book of a new series by Lynne Viehl, although it does follow on from a previous series: Tales of the Darkyn. Although several characters from that series appear in the book the main story introduces us to the Kyndred. Individuals who have DNA in their genes that gives them a talent - much like those of the Darklyn - but without the need for blood and to avoid the sun. Each of their Talents expands when they are fatally injures but survive by healing like the Darkyn.

This story, and the ones that follow on from this, are multi-layered, so much so that I have to read them about 2 or 3 times to get the whole story! A good introduction to the series.

Hard getting into Manon's story
This series just got so much better
So many new characters in this book! Found it hard to get into Manon's story, but got to love her by the end of the book.

The book was just like the first series and continues the woman assassin's story. While it has been awhile since I read His Fair Assassin trilogy that did not seem to be a problem while reading this book.
I enjoyed the premise but some parts felt drawn out.

When Mallory disappears, it's up to the twins to find her. A decent enough story, however it feels too much like set up for the final book in the series.

The town crank is murdered, but Lee's boyfriend Joe looks like the most likely suspect. Can she clear his name? Another light but fun book in this light series.

The book is written as a series of reports, audio transcripts and journal entries, I've never read a book written this was but it really does pull you in and sucks you into you in the discovery of the "giant" and how it affects the various protagonists throughout.
