Book Review | Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I felt this book was different to what i read i am use to reading romance novels but i love to see what is out there. So this was popular so i jumped on the bandwagon and i felt this book was gripping and had twist and turns. I feel this book was better then the film by far and will love to read more of the author's books.

First film to make me cry
Without a doubt Hate U Give was my favourite read last year. As soon as I heard it was going to be a film, I was excited and worried that once again my fav book could get ruined. I please to say this didn't happen.
This film is heart breaking breathe taking and will destroy your emotions. Amandla performance was on point I don't think I've ever seen such a great castings choice. Interestingly K J Apa came into the film late in results after the first Chris got sacked. I'm not usually a huge fan of K J yet I found Chris in the film entering which is suprising because in the book I found him rather annoying.
It also intresting to see Antony Mackie as a villain of the film after being so used to seeing him as a hero in the marvel fanschises.

Very good film and you don't need to be interested in fashion although the scene where she walks through New York and the clothes change every time she passes behind a bus or turns a corner, must have taken ages to shoot that scene and get the continuity correct. Have read the book and yes things are altered for the film but in this instance I think the film is better.

Third time's the charm!
I started this book ages ago, then put it down and forgot about it. I started it again after I watched the film, but again, I stopped reading it for some reason. This was my third attempt, driven by having watched the film. I'm sure that it's pretty obvious that this book is nothing like the film (as is so often the case). The details in the book could never all be included in a film, and there are a number of places where the story has been completely changed, and I can see why. There is so much detail: from music, to TV programmes, to computer games, to characters' motivations. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed both the book and the film. The book is both very exciting and very detailed. I have to admit to skimming some, feeling guilty, then going back and reading it properly!
I loved the references to 80's music, although some were a bit random even for me (this is probably the difference between a Brit and someone from the US reading it). I do find though, that Ernest Cline's writing is incredibly detailed, and this is probably the reason why my 14 year old son gave up halfway through. I'm impressed he got to the halfway point to be honest!

I like the storyline from this film the downside of it is that they cut out ethan's aunts that were mention alot in the book and also the cat they had but went feral also some the characters charactisics were changed from book to film I think if these changes were not made then a lot fans alike would have enjoyed it more than they did

This is one of my all time favourite films. I feel in love with this as a child which ignited my love of science fiction. The effects still amaze me even now and having recently purchased this on blu-ray, it still doesn't cease to amaze. The only problem with blu-ray, is that you get to see the Baron on HD. No one wants to see that!
Compared to the book, I honestly think the film is better. The book felt a bit stiff, but the film brings the story to life.
