I think it ended a bit abruptly and i wasn't convinced by the romance but it won me over a lot with Annika's dedication to her sick younger brother and the stories and the wishes and all the stuff she does to make him happy. I shed a few tears near the end when i thought it was going to be bad news--and with how it ended, it could still be bad news--but i did like it.

This didn't really have much stuff happen in it but what did had me all warm. I loved the brotherly affection, it reminds me of me and my brother. I loved the slow burning thing with the neighbour whose name I can't actually remember right now (feel free to abuse me for that one). She didn't feel girly enough to even think she was attractive and then it turns out that she was wanted... it was cute.

"I started listening to Nirvana when I was a kid, mostly because my older brother listened to them. We loved that band. We had all their albums and listened to them every day. I got the seven-inch from a friend in New York recently. She used to work for their label and I was looking through her record collection and came across it and lost my mind. She was like, “You can have it – I've got two copies”."

"Though Persona had the most influence on me, these two movies introduced me to the idea of exploring the shocking theme of incest. I remember being mystified at the revelations of brother/sister and sister/sister liaisons, and also feeling like I was being plunged into terrain where there were no boundaries. There was something intoxicating about this, and only the intimacy of Bergman’s camera and his phenomenal relationship to his actors made this disturbing alchemy work."

"I enjoy sci-fi thanks to my brother John's passion for it, and this was the first sci-fi book to hit my radar. It touches on so many things: politics, religion, paganism, revivalism, psychokinesis – and it even introduced a couple of things that didn't exist before: the waterbed (which came out a few years after the book), and the word "grok" which means "to understand something intuitively or by empathy.” There's a lot to grok in this book."
