Rolling Stone's 181st greatest album of all time

Great soft paced reggae album from the best in the business. Not packed with familiar hits but a great band playing great songs.

Business consultant Tucker Sinclair finds her career in danger when a client substitutes a new business plan for the one she created. Then he turns up in the Pacific Ocean. Can she solve the murder and save her career? I loved the LA setting, but found the mystery a little slow going and the characters a little light.

"I always think of Renoir whenever I make any picture, and he made a comedy about show business called French Cancan. It’s set around the turn of the century, and Jean Gabin plays the guy who invented the Moulin Rouge night club. He did it by championing the return of the can can, and it’s a glorious film. Gabin was great and Renoir is my favorite director. It’s a show business story, and so is ours."

"This is maybe my second favorite doc of all time. It’s a PBS American Masters on David Geffen. He is the single most successful entrepreneur ever in the entertainment business. This guy is just brilliant, has had a really interesting life and done so much, every big cultural event. I’ve seen it a hundred times and really think that if you’re interested in entering or being an artist in the film industry it’s really important to understand the business, and a film like this makes you feel like you have a book that no one else has. He’s the smartest businessman to have entered the art world, in my opinion. He’s almost got the soul of an artist, but his Picasso-like skill is for the business of entertainment. It’s insanely fascinating."
