Excellent group game
One of the easiest to learn games, yet the most fun, games I've played. The cards are almost entirely self explanatory, and the huge amount of nods to the different variations and flavours of games (particularly Dungeons and Dragons) is brilliant.

Whether you fight the Level 8 Gazebo, the Level 1 Potted Plant, or the Level 20 Plutonium Dragon, the deals you can make with your friends and enemies can be almost anything - we even house rule that it can be outside of the game (for example, "I will make the next drink if you help me in this fight, and only take 1 treasure"). Its also entirely possible to "help" in the fight, but sabotage the fight so they dont gain levels!

With dozens of expansions, too, the game can grow and grow, and if you like a particular genre, they probably have it as an option (Sci Fi? Space Munchkin. Vampires? Munchkin Bites etc) - and they can all be played in one huge pile, if you want!!

Brilliant game

Either a really good game, or a really bad game
I love this game. My family and I always used to play this in the school holidays so it always has a lovely memory attached to it. On the other hand, it has been the cause of a few arguments and sore losers as you can probably imagine. Nevertheless, when you can get through a game without arguing it is so fun to play.
It is a massively long game if you are playing in large groups though or people refuse to trade cards and help the game progress. We used to have to either play until an ungodly hour in the morning or put the game aside and continue playing the next night. So if you're after a quick game, Monopoly is a no-no.

Additionally, we used to play card games and use Monopoly money as currency. So there's that use too if you're not feeling up for a massive board game.

Monopoly: The Walking Dead
Monopoly: The Walking Dead

I'll be honest, I'm a sucker for a themed version of Monopoly so a Walking Dead version really appealed. Although it's a good version, personally its not my favourite.

For starters, this is based on the original comics/graphic novels so there is quite a bit in this that won't be familiar to fans of the show (like me). It's not as easy to get into a themed game like this when you don't know everything about the subject. I also think that the themed items (money, properties and chance/community chest cards) are a little weak compared to other themed versions out there. Although this could just be because I'm not as big a fan of The Walking Dead as I thought! What I did love was the tokens, it's a little dark and disturbing to get to play as Lucille or a bucket of body parts.

The rest of the gameplay is standard Monopoly fare as expected, but maybe this is one made for die hard Walking Dead fans.

A must for Monopoly and GOT fans
I'd been waiting for a Game of Thrones themed Monopoly for such a long time, and it does not disappoint.

To start with, the box and entire contents look very high quality and they really make the most of the Games of Thrones theme. The box decoration is sleek and minimal and looks quite fancy, and the instructions are on a rolled up, red ribbon tied scroll. The playing pieces are good choices, although i do wish there was a dragon (as opposed to an egg) as it may stop the constant bickering over who gets to be the Direwolf... The money, cards and properties too are all well suited and really fit in with the theme, to allow you to finally own your own little corner of Westeros.

Of course if you're not a Game of Thrones or Monopoly fan, then this isn't going to appeal. But if you love both, then I'd highly recommend adding this to your game collection. You won't want to play standard Monopoly ever again!

Many expansions
Can be played with anyone who knows how to argue
A riot for all ages!
Super fight is pretty hilarious, actually. The basic premise is that you draw cards to create your fighter, and then you argue about whose fighter would win in a battle! The winner is picked by group consensus.

This is a game that can be played with basically anyone who can argue. I have played against some ridiculously hilarious children, amd some highly creative adults as well. There's no wrong answer... I mean, when you're trying to decide between a giant fire breathing out haha and a robot with lazers for eyes, the only way to win is to get creative!

It should also be said that there are multiple expansion packs for this game, each one a different color. For example, I believe th Pink expansion is anime-related, while the yellow is books/ book characters/ abilities.

I will have this available at most parties, and hope to see others playing it too!

Dobble - Harry Potter version

Great fun
I'm a big fan of tabletop games, but it's difficult to find ones that I can persuade my family and friends to play that don't involve hours of play and a massive commitment. Dobble is the perfect party game - it's so much fun and even better, the games themselves are super quick yet hugely enjoyable.

This is basically a modern take on the classic card game Snap and it really is a great version, with up to 5 mini games playable with each deck. The Harry Potter version is a lot of fun and massively appealed to my geeky side, although did cause a lot of arguments - my less HP minded friends kept shouting out "boy!", "owl!" etc but I refused to allow it until they shouted their actual name (i.e Hedwig, Draco Malfoy). Maybe I'm just cruel, but surely that's the point of the HP version?! Arguments aside, it's a ridiculously fun game to play with people of all ages. My only criticism would be it seems fairly pricey for what is a glorified pack of cards.
