Tallulah22 (211 KP) rated Klaus (2019) in Movies

Beautiful story about the beginnings of Christmas. I watched this with my nephew and then the following day with his dad. The imagery is stunning and I love how they manage to bring joy to the long-feuding town through some letters and toys. I particularly love the bit when they are making the boat.

Ross (3284 KP) rated Caffe Nero in Apps
Nov 3, 2017
I have been using the Nero app for a few months now, mainly to collect stamps towards free coffees (just like the paper ones, you scan your app at the checkout). I have recently linked a debit card as well so can now pay for drinks as well as getting a stamp and this works really well.
Also for the Christmas period, every time you pay for a drink with the app you get a Christmas cracker to open with the chance of winning extra stamps, free drinks etc.

Mark Halpern (153 KP) rated A Bad Moms Christmas (2017) in Movies
Jan 13, 2018
Not a bad sequel
Same movie revolving aorund the same three moms (Kunis,Khan and Bell) but this time it's Christmas time and there has to be a twist and what better than there moms coming of the big holiday. Needless to say the moms show up early and they need a let loose scene which this time takes place in the mall at the height of Christmas shopping. Each daughter has certain types of problems with their mother in their own way and that is the basis of this movie. The first one was fun and original while this copies that same frame but, adds in enough fun and excitement that makes it at least a one time watch.

Myst (0 KP) rated Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses in Books
Feb 8, 2018
Loved this book, caught me at the first page that I forgotten to take note of what town it is placed in for my map. Feels a little cookie-cutter along the lines of Trading Christmas/When Christmas Comes and a few of Debbie Macomber's other holiday books. If you enjoy Debbie Macomber's holiday books you will definitely like this one! I find it funny that in this book and another series I read they both use the last name Sinclair for grouchy millionaires. Have to keep an eye out for more books by Jenny Hale, already signed up for her newsletter.

BookwormMama14 (18 KP) rated Santa's Sleigh Is on Its Way to Michigan: A Christmas Adventure in Books
Jan 2, 2019
The children of Michigan prepare for Santa's arrival, but he can't make his appearance until they are all in bed and fast asleep!
"The icicles sparkle as snowflakes drift down from Midland to Ann Arbor, and all around."
Although we are not from Michigan, my Grandma lives there. We received this book from her this week and think it's a marvelous idea! Even though we are not familiar with the area, it will be fun for our kids to research the cities as they get older. The illustrations are splendid and the story is very well written. This will be a good encouragement for kids to go to sleep on Christmas Eve. This is a cute and personalized story that will add magic to your Christmas collection.

Millie (22 KP) rated Duck the Halls (Meg Langslow, #16) in Books
Jan 27, 2020
So, I started this book around Christmas and am just now finishing it. I think that was a result not so much of the book itself - it wasn't poorly written or anything, I just kept picking up other books instead. Overall, it was a nice, fluffy, cozy mystery that I probably would have enjoyed more if I had read the whole thing at Christmastime. Yes, there were a lot of religious undertones, but I sort of expected that with a Christmas book. I would recommend this one to anyone looking for a book to get into the Chistmas mood.
