Far from his best
Well apparently this flopped at the time but many consider it a classic now. A thriller ahead of it's time for sure, with an atmospheric score. But watching it today it was predictable there would be a twist.
A former Detective is asked to spy on an old friends wife and keep track of her. Leading to obsession and a tragic event.
The first two thirds of the film are very slow and rather uneventful as James Stewart follows Madeleine wandering around town. Given an odd story by his friend to explain her behaviour, but he becomes more obsessed with her over time. The final third of the film was also a little slow getting to the reveal stage. At the time it would be a great twist but today you start to work out possible explanations quite early. The final scene also felt a bit over the top. Enjoyable to see a Hitchcock film but far from a classic for me.

A heartbreaking elegy to Nigeria's lost promise
A beautiful and deeply tragic story exploring a family's secrets based in Nigeria. The novel follows four brothers in a small Nigerian village who are given a violent prophecy which shakes their family to the core.
Like most classic African novels in the Achebe-Ngugi tradition, The Fishermen mixes the traditional English novel form with the oral storytelling tradition, dramatising the conflict between the traditional and the modern. It is rather depressing but poignant.

Disney Classic
WHat not to say about one of Disney's most treasured movies. The score is one of the best and Robin Willams as the genie leaves us applauding for more. The story of a street rat who comes into contact with a mgaic lamp that give him the chance at the beautiful Princess Jasmine. The movie is fun, funny and has it's moments of suspense and danger. Ultimate be careful on what you wish for.

A Fresh Take On A Classic Character
This movie has been polarizing and I can see why. Some of the creative decisions taken seem odd and feel slightly out of place is a monster movie blockbuster and more as if they belong in an indie art movie. Although I thought that for the most part these decisions worked in the movie's favour. Also, one thing is for sure, it's better than the last Godzilla movie that we got.

A Triumphant Piece Of Punk Pop
American Idiot is a modern classic and 21st Century Breakdown is a masterpiece and while this doesn't quite reach the heights of those two records, it is still pretty great. The record has it's highlight tracks, but as a whole it is engaging, thought provoking and exciting to listen to. The trio have still got their flair and they prove that they are at the peak of their technical musicianship at this point.

Timeless classic
Tried to mark it as 10 out of 10, but program wouldn't let me. At 50 years old, I still enjoy watching this movie almost as much as I did when I was a kid. I really hope no producer or movie studio tries to remake this movie with CG as they will ruin it!

Not made for adults
This film is totally made for children, it's incredibly cheesy and a little bit silly at times. The music, however, is pretty classic - from Simon and Garfunkel to Motown - so I definitely can't knock that. I'm sure S&G would never have thought a group of multicoloured trolls would be singing their songs in 2017. It's literally about a group of monsters eating trolls to make them happy. Yes you can't get more ridiculous than that.

An Insane Joyride Through The Criminal Underbelly
This movie is iconic at this point and rightly so. It is phenomenal from start to finish. There are so many classic lines and electric characters that every scene in this movie is quotable in some form. If you haven't seen it for some reason, do yourself a favour; stop what you are doing right now and go watch this masterpiece.

Classic Halloween Disney Movie
This movie is so good. If you like movies that give you 90's nostalgia with all little bit of tame creepiness, This movie is for you. The three witches are so hilarious, and the child acting isn't half-bad. Yes, it is sometimes cringy, but if you like those old cringy Disney Channel kind of movies, I definitely recommend you give this a watch.
