Honestly, who does not love this book. I, sadly, didn't even know about this book until I was in high school but I immediately went out and bought it for my daughter when I first learned I was pregnant. I have since carried on traditional and each of my kids have their own copy.
This book is an appropriate gift for baby showers, graduations, "milestone" birthdays, etc. And if you haven't read it yet then what are you waiting for?

A good western
I had heard very good things about this film. Really good westerns seem hard to come by at the best of times. This is a good story, and very character driven take on the genre. As good as it is, it's not a classic I had hoped for. Just a bit more action would have risen it to a great level. Still one of the best offerings in many years though.

I really liked this one. More of a drama for sure though.

Dull eyes
What a shame the original film is such a classic from my childhood. Quite dark in tone with a great voice cast and score. Sadly it's what this version is lacking.
Going for a more realistic look for the rabbits tends to make them look expressionless and without any emotion. Although the cast list is impressive the voice acting is poor when compared to the original. It's way too long as well at over 3 hours. Stick with the original.

A good attempt at a film noir by Dennis Hopper. It's a little slow to begin with, but soon there are plenty of twists along the way. Things heat up when a drifter passes through a small town and sets off a chain of events which will change many lives. This film has a few themes running through it, hot women, American classic cars and some cool Jazz tunes as well. Doesn't seem to be on TV much, catch it when you can.

The House with a Clock in its Walls is SO GOOD! From the first tick to the last tock, I enjoyed every second of this movie. I grabbed my Magic 8 Ball and asked it a few questions. Will other people enjoy this movie as much me? Most Likely. Will this become a classic movie that is enjoyed for years to come? Outlook Good. Is The House with a Clock in its Walls a wonderful movie? All Signs Point to Yes.

Fellow book lovers: Every year, I read a literary classic. Last year was @War and Peace. I'm having a hard time choosing for this year. This is my short-ish list thus far.

Edit: The reason these are kind of out there and not well known is because I've already read most of the mainstream classics.
