All About The Stone
Romancing The Stone- is a classic action-adventure film. It has a great cast and director.
The plot: A dowdy romantic-adventure writer is hurled into a real-life adventure in the Colombian jungle in order to save her sister, who will be killed if a treasure map is not delivered to her captors. She is helped out by a brash mercenary, and together they search for the priceless gem located in the map.
Micheal Douglas and Danny DeVito are the best parts of this film. Also Robert Zemeckis directed it. Its a good film.

Do you remember the Monsters?
So the final series of what has been a classic show. No wonder it won so many awards and accolades. This series has Dexter trying to balance his life along with his dark passenger. After the ending of the last series how will his relationship with Deb be effected. So it feels slightly different to the majority of the previous series formats. It's still very good although the final episode and ending was rather disappointing to an excellent show. Let's wait and see where the new series picks up.

"Wax on ... wax off"
Classic 1980s family movie, that is almost like a toned down version of Rocky, and that sees Mr Miyaga train Daniel(san) after he moves to LA and becomes the victim of High school bullying by the local 'in' crowd who also train at the local Doyo whilst a young Elisabeth Shue provides the love interest.
And, I've only just recently found out, the superlative scene where a drunk Mr Miyaga recounts the death of his wife and unborn son in an internment camp was nearly left on the cutting room floor!!

Classic Jack Reacher....I read somewhere that every man wants to be Reacher & every woman wants him ...True or not Reacher is a refreshing change to most heros as he comes with no baggage ...physically or mentally ..allowing the reader to just enjoy the plot with no 'angst' & as there is no continuing back story the series of books can be read in any order. Author Lee Child always delivers a fast paced thrill ride with no unnecessary page filling or padding making the books real page turners that pack a punch...or sometimes in Reachers case a kick! X

Moonbase alpha
So part of my childhood growing up in the 70s that I still remember this classic sci fi and according to the show the moon left eatrth orbit 13th September 1999 which would make it 20 years ago on Friday just been the effects are abit outdated by today's standards but that's part of its charm. Top notch acting from both Martin Landau and Barbara bain as the leads. And been remade on audio recently by big finish productions which I'm going to listening too in the future

Quite tragic, not impressed
Quite tragic and saddening to see a timeless classic being remade in this manner. The writing for the lines was very simple with very cliche one liners that are trying to hard to be cool. The outfits are too modern for the setting. I like the idea to revamp it but either choose to be modern or keep everything in the right time frame. You can't have mines and castles whilst wearing hoodies with drawstrings and overly shiny leather.
