A nice surprise!
A surprising good Horror film that is definitely different to the normal Slasher. A small group hire an old barn in a remote area to make an adult film. The old couple on the farm find out which lead to a series of events to unfold.
For a low budget indie film it was really good, creepy, sinister, with good gore effects as well. A prequel Film Pearl was made at same time.

Hooked like I didnt think I would be!
I first need to thank the author and publishers for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.
"Briella Blake has always been wicked smart. When she's invited to attend a special school for gifted students, she finally has the chance to focus on a project that begins to consume her - the ability to recreate and save copies of a person's entire set of memories. Her friendship with a raven that's as smart as she is leads to conflict with her mother Marian, who is no longer able to deny that there's something wrong with her child."
This is a real page turner!
I do not want to give too much away so I am really unable to elaborate; but this is a wonderful book.
Well-constructed and written book, touched on subjects of motherhood that are often called taboo or women are made to feel they cant talk about or feel.
When I first started reading the book
I had my suspicions about Briella - I tried to like her but I really couldn't. She just had something about her and I turned every page thinking to myself how creepy she made me feel and wondering who she would kill first.
This is a real page turner, made all the more unsettling by the presence of the enigmatic creepy Briella. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who likes suspenseful thrillers and would also suggest fans of horror give this one a go as well. I feel like this could make a good creepy film if done right!

As a remake this one was spot on, from the off its doesn't disappoint, creepy clown stills the show, great young cast with there own issues in life and growing up, I highly recommend this movie, most films they class as horror Normally make me laugh, but this one has you on the edge of your seat with great jump moments, the start of a franchise of movies, let's just hope they don't over do it in future movies and spoil a great hit

The Book and then the Movie
When I first saw the book, that the movie is taken from, I didn't read it because it looked creepy. But when I saw the trailer for the movie I was intrigued. So I eventually bought it on blu-ray and watched it. Very pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it. I really liked the cast, characters, storyline, plot, even the villians were cool. Overall, very good. And I can't wait for the next one. Heck, I might even read the books now.

Wanted to watch this for a while and glad I had it on my to watch list, also glad I watched it in the daylight. It is more of a suspense horror and there isn't too much gore (it is only rated 15). You do guess that the daughter is involved quite early on but she does give a good performance in trying to convince you otherwise. Quite creepy and it will make me think twice if I see a teacup with a teaspoon in it.

Entertaining
While searching through a list of "horror" movies to watch I came upon this interesting title. It turned out better than expected. Plenty of creepy imagery and characters it was quite entertaining. With the old school feel of it the cinematography and acting were very well done. The story- while a little predictable- proved to flow smoothly without being cumbersome or difficult to keep up with and entertained quite thoroughly. If you're into old style "ghostly" thrillers you will enjoy this one. Worth a watch!

Maia is at the newest amusement park in the country - Ghost Town - when she sees a friend as one of the ghosts. Then she finds out this friend is missing. What is going on? This is a Christian novel with heavy ghost elements. Yet it treats the ghosts are real, or at least potentially real. Very well done with some creepy scenes. Perfect Halloween read.

Better than expected
Found this little gem on Netflix(original). The acting, cinematography and effects are decent. The story played out well. A little bit of a slow starter but kept the interest throughout. No big names that I knew, but the characters were well played. Takes place in the eighties in Scotland and it feels like you're watching a movie made in the eighties. If you're into creepy, supernatural horror flicks this one will please you. Not "The Conjuring" good but still worth a watch.
