The list of westerns I have seen over the years can be counted on 2 hands.
out of that small amount this and Unforgiven are favourites, Costner and Duvall are well paired and this story although reasonably simply has great depth and heart.
It's an old fashioned western about free grazing and unlawful mercenaries and contains beautiful vistas and prolonged bone crunching shootouts, however although the film starts slowly the build-up pays off handsomely.
Costner's character gives off an air of being very dangerous when pushed and on the flipside shows his awkwardness when it comes to matters of the heart.
Annette Benning rounds off the movie as the believable Love interest in what I believe is a very well rounded small cast of actors in this very re-watchable western.

8mm- is a underrated mystery thriller, it was directed by Joel Schumacher, yes the person who destoryed and ruined batman two years before this movie came out. Joel Schumacher is better with mysterious and thrillers than Batman. Anyways the plot:

Private detective Tom Welles (Nicolas Cage) lives a normal life with his wife (Catherine Keener) and young daughter, until he receives a startling new case. A widow named Mrs. Christian (Myra Carter) has found what appears to be a snuff film among her late husband's belongings, and she wants Welles to determine if the movie is real or fake. Welles heads to California, where a video store employee (Joaquin Phoenix) helps him infiltrate the dangerous and depraved world of illegal porn movies.

Its suspenseful, horrorfying, twisted and overall a good movie.

This is definitely a hugely underrated film. And one of the few times Nicolas Cage is actually decent!

DANGEROUS DECISIONS is the third book in the Obsidian Flame series and although we continue with the overall story arc, this one has Hank and Misha on prominent display.

Hank has been keeping a secret from Lara and so, as it turns out, has Misha. Both secrets have a massive impact on Lara in very different ways, adding brilliant elements to the story.

Lara and Raf are just as hot and pig-headed as before, but now we have Hank and Misha too. Think of Romeo and Juliet (but grown up) and you're there. I really felt for Misha in this one. She really didn't have an easy way out of any of it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait for it to continue. Absolutely recommended by me.

If you're a fan of action films, you'll probably enjoy this one. The fight scenes and gun fire is pretty much non-stop from the start. There are some very impressive looking scenes shot up-close from a handheld camera. However, behind this constant action is a mediocre storyline.

Chris Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake, a ruthless mercenary who is hired to complete the 'extraction' of the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. After collecting the child (Ovi), Tyler embarks on a dangerous mission to get him to safety.

Whilst they are being hunted, Tyler and Ovi find unlikely friendship in each other and Tyler decides he will do anything to ensure that Ovi makes it to safety.
