Escape Room (2019)
Escape Room (2019)
2019 | Action, Horror, Thriller
At the start of the movie we see a guy trapped in a room that is closing in on hm as he tries to solve clues, giving an insight into what to expect. It doesn't appear to end well, though we don't see what happens to him we do get a pretty good idea. After this scene we go back to 3 days earlier and we are shown the lives of a group of people including the guy from the start. They each receive a mysterious puzzle box (which reminds me very much of the box in hell raiser). Upon opening they box, they are given an invite to an escape room game with the potential to win $10,000.
When they arrive at the escape room, they are instantly thrown into the game and they soon discover how dangerous this game is, as they put their lives on the line to solve each room.
Even though the premise of the movie isn't original, I did enjoy it. I thought how each room was designed was interesting and it did remind me of the cube movies, except instead of finding their way of empty rooms, they're finding their way out of actual rooms such as a lobby, a hospital and even an outside area.
The ending I thought dragged on a little, but it did make way for a sequel which I will definitely watch if it is made.

Very odd
The second book adds no real substance to what exactly happened in "The Change", I think I am just going to have to accept that "things changed".
In the first New York book, we meet Grace, who is trying to reunite with her brother, an inmate of Rikers before The Change. Trying to get safe passage up the Hudson river, she has to ask the Queen of Coney Island for a boat and permission. On the way to do so, she meets up with God (as you do), and enters the former Coney Island amusement park. It is populated with odd people and creatures, some of whom are real, some of whom are formerly real and brought back to life due to the change, others are physical embodiments of ideas and film characters.
Grace and God are given a seemingly simple task to achieve before being given safe passage, but it inevitably turns out to be a very difficult and dangerous one.
The book has a very different feel to the first, London-based one, with a very odd Alice in Wonderland feel to it, with crazy characters helping the one seemingly normal one to her goal.
The one thing that is consistent with the London book is the feeling of wanting more at the end. This time the character had a goal and (spoiler alert) she didn't achieve it by the end of the book.

Beetlejuice- is a halloween classic. Its also a tim burton classic. The cast is really good, the fantasy gothic horror element is really good. Its also a dark film, and its PG and it does have some not PG moments. Its a excellent movie.

The plot: After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose "help" quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

Burton cast Ryder upon seeing her in Lucas. O'Hara quickly signed on, while Burton claimed it took a lot of time to convince other cast members to sign, as "they didn't know what to think of the weird script.

Warner Bros. disliked the title Beetlejuice and wanted to call the film House Ghosts. As a joke, Burton suggested the name Scared Sheetless and was horrified when the studio actually considered using it.

Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian is in development hell and now its shelved. So the likely chance of it coming out is unlikely, but who knows.

Like i said before Beetlejuice is a excellent Halloween Classic.
