Hotel Artemis (2018) is perfect for a short stay. #Review
I approached “Hotel Artemis” with an uneasy trepidation, born out of learning that it ran for a trim (these days) 96 minutes. My reasoning was simple: usually a high-concept star-powered action thriller that runs around the hour and a half mark is a sign of something going wrong and a desperate attempt to save the film in the editing suite. I enjoyed Rebecca Reid’s compelling debut novel Perfect Liars.

Perfect Liars is a thoroughly satisfying character driven psychological thriller. It’s cleverly plotted and clear from the beginning, despite being paced on the slow side, that it is a compelling tale.

The characters are somewhat unlikeable in that they are typical stereotypical pretentious, entitled, self-centered women. The story is told using a dual timeline, past and present. Whilst they display a close friendship to the world it is deeply flawed.

There are certain parts of the storyline that I felt were a little too unbelievable and that is why this does not get a full five stars from me.

Take Me (2017)
Take Me (2017)
2017 | Comedy, Crime
You can take me at my word as I've not been kidnapped by Pat Healy and forced to say this, I'm writing this under my own free will, that Take Me is highly entertaining and is a fun ride of a movie. I'm talking a tied up in the back of a van with no seatbelt or stuffed in a trunk and taken up a mountain road kind of fun ride. Pat Healy is one of the best actors out there right now in my opinion, and I highly suggest you let him take you for a couple of hours with his feature directorial debut Take Me.
