Watched last night took me 17 years to finally get around to watch it but finally I did thanks to Disney plus. Anyway the film itself it’s rather good boxing movie set during the Great Depression of the 1930s the boxing scenes are great and Russell Crowe does a good job of playing Jim Braddock overall good night in movie

Watched on Amazon prime I liked this film directed stared and written by Karen Gillan making a movie that's a far cry from both doctor who and marvel movies for a first time director Karen has done great job tackling a tough subject of depression and suicide and no one else could play the main other than Karen so definitely a rewatch

One of your must reads
It maybe an old book (mentioning the great American depression more than once) but the information will never go out of date. As I stated it's not a light read but you get a history lesson, a self help and business book all rolled into one. It should be on the list of must read books in your lifetime.

Uplifting
Marin is lonely, she’s drowning in it. Her friend (maybe more) Mabel tries to save her from her loneliness. As the story goes alone we piece together a past Marin was unable to face. It was really interesting how inactive the actual sequence of events were, but it remained engaging through sporadically having flashbacks to Marin’s past.
Lovely story, kinda gay, depression and anxiety present and discussed.

I actually thing I like this better than they both die at the end now - after reading this it makes you think about your life - I mean, I was in his place years ago and it brought back so many memories - pushing past your fears/issues and moving into a new phase of life is so astounding sometimes - anyone with depression should truly read this book - it's absolutely spectacular.
