MusicCritics (472 KP) rated Painted Ruins by Grizzly Bear in Music
Oct 28, 2017
It's this quality that renders Grizzly Bear one of the finest art-rock groups to date. Whilst their run-of-the-mill, dream-pop contemporaries experiment with a range of distortion pedals

Josh (12 KP) rated Alien Vs Predator: Extinction in Video Games
Jul 11, 2018
Classic RTS
This game was a dream come true for me. Take the RTS genre (think Command & Conquer, Warcraft, StarCraft, etc.) then combine it with a franchise that lent itself very well to that type of game. You could choose Marine, Alien, or Predator, each with their own unique troops and abilities. The game felt very well balanced, although the controls could be a bit clunky at times, as some commands had to be buried in pop-up menus due to a limitation of buttons on the PS2 controller. Overall though, a thoroughly enjoyable game.
Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Luuv - Single by Broken Hearts Club in Music
Jun 25, 2019
Broken Hearts Club (Richie Aquino and Bradly Baldwin) is a dream-pop duo from Orange County, California. Not too long ago, they released their debut single, entitled, “Luuv”.
“Don’t want to be here. Now I can’t see clear. This party’s starting to suck. Then you walked in slow like something magical and started changing my mind. Now every time I dream about you, you’re turning me on. But every time I think about you, it feels so wrong.” – lyrics
‘Luuv’ tells a bittersweet tale of a young guy who falls head-over-heels in love with a desirable female.
Apparently, in the beginning, all is good and well with them. He always wants to feel her lips, steal a long kiss, and see her eyes in the morning light.
But unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, and he experiences an emotional heartbreak. Now that she’s gone, he dreams about her all of the time and can’t seem to get her out of his mind.
‘Luuv’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and groovy instrumentation scented with an emo-indie-alternative aroma.
Also, the likable tune will be featured on Broken Hearts Club’s upcoming EP, entitled, “Make Out Music”.
“This song is about being so wrapped up in someone that you clearly know is not right for you. That you would rather be miserable having pieces of them than being happy having never known them at all.” – Broken Hearts Club
Broken Hearts Club came to life in 2019, when they bonded over their recent breakups, near-death experience, and their love of Rachael Leigh Cook and 90’s RomComs.
But instead of sulking in their pain, the duo turned their inspiration into a dream-pop world filled with songs about love and heartbreaks.

Nostalgia drips from the page
Future true story
Modern retro
Coming to this book from the movie was a mistake but not a bigger one than reading this then watching the movie.
In a strangely possible future that sees the real world being second to virtual world of the Oasis, Wade Watts finds himself orphaned and obsessed with the 80s and all levels of geek and pop trivia. This obsession grows as he along with millions of others are undertaking a quest to control the virtual world and basically be the king of both worlds. Many movies, computer games, songs and even breakfast cereals are dissected in great detail and this attention to detail makes the book for me and is where it had me hooked. If you love nostalgia then this book will be a dream of not then it could be too much.
The story is packed with twists and turns with the obligatory love interest make this book fun, interesting and gripping in equal measure.
Book then movie, I need to learn to remember that one of these days

Jun 18, 2019
Harriet Manice is a singer-songwriter and photographer based in New York City. Not too long ago, she released a charming pop tune, entitled, “Panic Attack”.
“‘Panic Attack’ is a blend of Nashville storytelling and popular music. With a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments. The song provides the feelings one can go through dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. While the song raises an emotional and intense topic, the music generally stays upbeat, to give the hope that everything will be ok in the end. Just keep breathing in and breathing out.” – Harriet Manice
‘Panic Attack’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and lush instrumentation flavored with a commercial pop aroma.
“What is happening? I can barely breathe. Feel the room is spinning quicking ’round me. Is this just a dream. Am I still asleep? Tell me how to stop this insanity.” – lyrics

CHILLFILTR (46 KP) rated PHASES by Chase Atlantic in Music
Jun 5, 2019
In a triumphant return with sophomore full-length record Phases, Chase Atlantic drops HER, the first single, and visits with a waking dream that joins passion with opulence and the innocence of youth. In a stunning video directed by Erik Rojas and Clinton Cave, we run with the young, beautiful, and financially untouchable: through the posh shops, the cobblestone walkways, and deep pockets of Beverly Hills.
We explore the fantasies of attraction and infinite power, in the effortless fusion of genre and aesthetic between the alt-pop and hip-hop of Post Malone and the rock flavor of YUNGBLUD. HER, the latest from Australia’s Chase Atlantic, closes the circle between bad parenting, the corrosive influence of money, and the opportunity for a young man to have the night of his life, while showcasing the rare beauty of talented newcomer Raelynn Harper.
Oh, think her boyfriend might be Christian Dior
I’m getting feelings that I didn’t before

CADE is an LA-based singer-songwriter and producer from Tampa, Florida. Not too long ago, he released an urban pop tune, entitled, “Home to You”, featuring Brooklyn rapper Desiigner.
“Different time, far from home. Hate having to fly here without you. Worrying, don’t know where you are. Hoping that you go to your bed alone ’cause I know you’re quite the dime. Shawty, gems like you are hard to find. You stay on my mind.” – lyrics
‘Home to You’ tells an interesting tale of a young artist who is out on the road, on tour with 12 more shows to go.
Even though he’s living his life-long dream and getting money, he can’t wait to get home to spend some romantic time with his significant other.
‘Home to You’ contains a relevant storyline, harmonious vocals, and twitchy instrumentation flavored with urban pop, hip-hop, and trap elements.

Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Favorite Flavor by Virgin Miri in Music
Jun 17, 2019
Virgin Miri is a singer-songwriter from Sweden. Not too long ago, she released a bouncy Scandi-pop tune, entitled, “Favorite Flavor”.
“When I wake, I wanna bake ya and hide your clothes. You can stay with me forever, I wanna overdose. I can’t get enough of you. Can I keep you in my room? Wear you like a new perfume. I can’t get enough, you’re my favorite flavor. Spicy chili, baby, hotter than a fever.” – lyrics
‘Favorite Flavor’ tells a slightly psychotic tale of a young woman who enjoys a perfect sleepover with her significant other.
Apparently, she has no self-control when he’s around, and every day she can’t seem to get enough of him.
Later, she admits that when she’s done with him, she’s going to wrap him up like candy and save him for later.
‘Favorite Flavor’ contains a dreamy storyline, pleasant vocals, and bouncy instrumentation flavored with playful synths and sticky kicks.
Also, the likable tune was partly inspired by a friend who hugged her bunny so hard it suffocated.
“‘Favorite Flavor’ is a love song about the honeymoon phase. When you can’t sleep because the butterflies in your belly keep you up. And you just want to hang out and make out forever.” – Virgin Miri
As a teen, Virgin Miri co-founded the controversial pop-duo, Cupid Kidz, “Sweden’s most dangerous band” according to Channel 4 News.
After a few age-restricted music videos and getting banned in the city of Falun, she moved to New York to chase the American dream.
Two years later, she found herself with an expired visa and a broken heart. She quit her job, boyfriend, and hairstyle. Also, she bought a one-way ticket to Mexico, where she crashed her best friend’s honeymoon.
Under a palm tree by the Caribbean sea, she ate 200 tacos and wrote 200 songs. With a new sound, she returned home to reside and create bedroom pop in her dad’s Stockholm office.
‘Favorite Flavor’ is the first single from Virgin Miri’s upcoming debut EP, which was written and produced with Hessam Esfahani.
