"Whenever I do karaoke, I always drink too much then try and do songs that are completely outside my range. In Tokyo, I tried to sing ‘Heart Of Glass’ by Blondie and started panicking, but I enjoyed it anyway."

Gods of Egypt.... Is an absolutely fine movie that is a great watch with friends. Don't take it too seriously, just enjoy yourself, and have a good drink with you. It's a fun time, but is by no means good.

Gin... both a drink and a name! Ginger is the Wicked Redhead, and boy do things get red hot in Beatriz Williams' second book in this series. You can read my review on my blog here! https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/12/13/finding-gins-fizz/

The fact it covers depression (0 more)
Groundhog Day
Phil who’s played by Bill Murray is a smug and selfish weatherman who has no choice but to live through the same day over and over again until he learns the value of caring about others. Though on the whole a lighthearted comedy, this movie also deals with depression, and Phil undertakes a series of suicide attempts. Characters drink at bars, and in a scene in which three characters are shown getting drunk in a bowling alley, one of the characters attempts to drive a car while clearly drunk. Which again emphasises how wrong it is to drink and drive.

I agree that it is a much deeper film than it first appears or than I remember it being. It doesn't just teach being a nicer person, it explores what makes a person that way in the first place.

Gritty and close to the bone study of a group of men and their dependency on drugs and drink. Extremely funny and at times hard to view but ultimately a rewarding watch, Begbie is a total nutcase and just try and comprehend what the hell Spud is saying.

As usual Hancock adds toher fabulous cast of characters. Really a group of women youwant to have your back and have a drink with. The plot on this one seemed a little incomplete. Knowing the way the author works we will find out more in the next installment.

Booze and legends
Listen to myths and legends presented and analyzed by two amazing hosts, with a smattering of feminist and queer theory applied to everything from Tarot to selkies. I can't recommend it enough. Plus, urban legends from listeners, native sources for native stories, and drink recommendations! Spirits is absolutely amazing.

This was the first podcast I listened to when I decided "hey, maybe I'll give podcasts a shot," and I was immediately hooked. The stories are interesting, and I enjoy the way the hosts relate them. And speaking of the hosts: Karen and Georgia are HILARIOUS, and 100% the kind of women I'd want to have a drink with.
