Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Mr. Sinful (Heartfelt #1) in Books
Jan 11, 2021
3.5 stars
Although it was a romance, it was a bit too heavy on the sex for me and I started skipping bits. That being said, I loved drunk Rusty, and all the blog comments--those were some die-hard romantics and amazing women.

Trackie (153 KP) rated Groundhog Day (1993) in Movies
Jan 15, 2019
Groundhog Day
Phil who’s played by Bill Murray is a smug and selfish weatherman who has no choice but to live through the same day over and over again until he learns the value of caring about others. Though on the whole a lighthearted comedy, this movie also deals with depression, and Phil undertakes a series of suicide attempts. Characters drink at bars, and in a scene in which three characters are shown getting drunk in a bowling alley, one of the characters attempts to drive a car while clearly drunk. Which again emphasises how wrong it is to drink and drive.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2151 KP) rated Triple Witch (Home Repair is Homicide, #2) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When the town drunk gets murdered, it distracts from Jake's holiday with her family. The characters are shallow and the writing style was distracting on this one.

Haley Mathiot (9 KP) rated A Taste of Magic (Magic, # 1) in Books

how do you spell cheesy plot, lame shallow characters, and bad writing? t-a-s-t-e-o-f-m-a-g-i-c.
only got through the third chapter.
although I'll admit... having your ass hang out through the window and having to be pulled into the bathroom while drunk is pretty funny.

Blazing Minds (92 KP) rated Drunk Bus (2020) in Movies
Oct 29, 2021 (Updated Nov 2, 2021)
Don’t expect Drunk Bus to be an all-out party on a bus with lots of craziness as the film is far from it, the film is one that builds on its characters so that you see more to them than just a driver of a bus accompanied by his tattoo faced security guard.
Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (2017) in Movies
Jun 6, 2017
There were a few lines that were not the same as the books but the acting was pretty good. I thought Manny was actually a pretty good actor even though he had a stunt double and he was about five.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated The Little Hours (2017) in Movies
Jun 16, 2017
Dave Franco is similarly good as the horny manservant who, against his better judgment, is easily seduced, while Reilly is funny as the constantly drunk priest, who’s got his own thing going on with the kindly mother superior

Peter G. (247 KP) rated Bad Santa (2003) in Movies
Jun 12, 2019
By all accounts this is Thornton playing himself.
Another Christmas redemption story disguised as a heist job within a department store, Santa in this instance is a drunk womaniser which leads to all kinds of hilarity, it takes one kids undying love for Santa for him to have an epiphany, and here the story although formulaic has a suitable but somewhat sweet ending.
