I can’t help but think that she’s not happy in her job or her relationship, and her cancer diagnosis is pushing these matters to the front of her mind.
There’s a lot of racism in this novel, and the effects of that on the main characters psyche. To be constantly thought of as “less than” must be frustrating, depressing and maddening.
I’ll be very interested to read what comes next from Natasha Brown.

In other ways it is quite different featuring a very diverse cast, using sign language with one character. The main stars of the film aren't the biggest names in the film.
Also interesting seeing different time periods feature as well as up to date scenes. It was genuinely funny, more than most Marvel films. Especially Kumail Nanjiani who is very good. So if you like Marvel action films this is another to check out.

Essentially like having USA! USA! USA! shouted in your face for 2+ hours, I remember seeing it in the cinema - the effects, for the time, were mind-blowing (although I do have to wonder how much they would have changed in showing the destruction of the White House and large swathes of the American cities following 9/11), and, yes, Bill Pullman must give the most Jingoistic speech I've ever heard in a movie, but I have to say: leave your brain at the door (the aliens brought down by a computer virus. Really??) and go enjoy!

The culmination of over a decade of Marvel movies and a direct continuation of Infinity War, this is the film that wraps up what will more than likely become known as The Infinity Stones saga.
It's also quite hard ton discuss without giving anything away: while we all knew that time travel would be a part of the movie (especially given the introduction of the Time Stone in Dr Strange), that did not play out exactly as I thought it would.
Personally, I also thought it spent too long dealing with the effects of Thanos' snap: yes, wiping out half of life would have a profound impact on those left behind, but did we need to go through them all one-by-one? All that served to do, really (IMO) is make an already long film even longer!
A good film, yes, but - for me, at least - it never quite hits the height of the preceding Infinity War.

As such, we're more following the Sully kids (including their adopted human son, Spider) than Jake Sully or Neytiri themselves as a new Na'vi nihilist clan - the Ash, who live near a volcano and reject Ayawa - are introduced, showing a side to Na'vi culture that has previously been missing in that not all clans live in peace and harmony with each other.
I've read some criticisms that say this is largely a repeat of 'Fhe Way of Water' and - while there is some truth to that - this still is largely it's own film, although it does assume the viewer is familiar with the previous films (and tests their bladder control somewhat).
