Fabulous rocker series, you'll fall in love with each character (0 more)
Another fabulous book from Terri Anne Browning!
Another fabulous book from Terri Anne Browning! I've missed a bunch of this series and man I've got to get caught up!? Every one of her books sucks me in from page one and Rocking Kin was no different! Kin is struggling after the loss of her mother, having promised to move in with her Father, a man who has been non-existent in her life until now. Moved across the country, away from the only family she knows and loves, finding herself in a house she'll never consider home, surrounded by people who are family by name alone... Thankfully she meets Lucy, her new best friend and until Jace, a ghost from her past comes back into the picture, everything seemed manageable. But now he's back and her heart can't take another hit.... Fabulous rocker series & author, incredibly beautiful story, I couldn't help but fall in love with everyone of these characters. HIGHLY recommended book, series & author!!

Life is a tornado for Alex Connor as we continue where we left off in book one. Now she is training hard for a fight that will test her strength and will. This book has everything in it. A weird love triangle and some interesting guys. Alex reunites with her mother and now is looking for her dad.
I have been pulling for Justin since book one hoping that she would pick him. I would’ve never guess the twist she throws at us in this book. Ryan doesn’t do it for me so I’m hoping that he cast some spell on her. Lol!
You get so much from these books that you don’t want to put them down or wait for the next book. I love the mystery and all the magic the author wrote. I also enjoyed how Alex could be sweet or spicy. The different powers and possibilities the author gives us just sucks you in.
I don’t really like love triangles because someone always gets hurt and this book is clearly no different. It’s not that hard to pick one guy. But we wouldn’t be reading if we didn’t enjoy a little drama.

Waiting for energy (1 more)
Not as much dedication to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
Okay, the game is pretty good, even if it does resemble old PS2 graphics. But your character will need energy to do EVERYTHING! Literally, you need energy to look, to sit, to take breaks, even to rest! So it becomes a waiting game or a game that you are constantly having to pay real money to play. And the classes are major energy sucks that are set on time limits. So you may run out of energy and fail a class because your energy didn't restore before the class was finished.

Also, a less critical but still annoying fact is that the developers focused on Gryffindor and Slytherin, and messed up details on Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. I am a Ravenclaw, and noticed the crest in the game is not the real one (it's the cheesy movie Raven, not the awesome bronze eagle). They could include Peeves, but they couldn't get our symbol right? And the common room looks different. While I'm not Hufflepuff, I did notice that the developers put the Hufflepuff common room in the basement, where it is not supposed to be! Instead, Hufflepuffs are on the first floor, the wing closest to the Greenhouses.

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Bookishly Ever After basically proves that my life sucks and the main character’s life is better… thus fictional lives are better. (Technically, fictional boys are better.)

I’ll agree with some of the reviewers on Goodreads that Bandeira’s debut novel doesn’t actually have a plot… because it doesn’t. Bookishly Ever After is an extremely light read that a plot isn’t really necessary to enjoy the book – if you enjoy a really cute book with adorable main characters to boot. Phoebe, le fabulous main character, is quite literally everything that I am fictionalized aside from looks, and I am so not saying that I’m cute because I’m not that confident. However, it is highly unadvised for guys to tell Sophia that she is cute or pretty because she will very happily kick you (or throw a GIF at you).

It is, however, totally worth the read if anyone is looking for something cute and light.

Fact: When I discover a series that completely sucks me in...I simply have to binge read the whole thing. If the series has stand alone novels in it, it isn't as much torture and I can wait...But if it is a continuing storyline...You won't see me come up for air until I am done (or to post the reviews for said books). So pass me the Starbursts and Red Bull, I will see ya later! Oh, after I finish this post.

Scarlet picks up the day after Cinder ends. Cinder and Kai remain as main characters throughout the second book. But now we are introduced to a whole new level of intrigue in the storyline. Scarlet and Wolf are AMAZING! I adore them and can't wait to see where their story leads. Scarlet's grandmere is pretty awesome too!

As secrets unfold of her heritage and her grandmother's past, Scarlet embarks on a dangerous mission to find her grandmere and bring her home. Scarlet will do anything to protect the only family she has left, even at the risk of her own safety. We also begin to learn more about Cinder's past and everything that she has gone through.

Cyborgs, Wolf Gangs, Lunar aliens, space travel, escaped convicts, hidden princess, hidden genealogy, this series has so much to offer and entertain. Clean and sweet romance appropriate for Young Adults. I am comfortable recommending this book to teens and adults.

Ratchet & Clank (2016)

The accompanying ps4 game sucked but this somehow sucks way more. Absolutely guts the video games of their charisma, nuance, wit, humor, lively visuals, world-building, sense of wonderment, good characters, memorability, fun, and solid writing until it eventually whittles away and lays waste to nearly everything which made them what they were in the first place - leaving behind a shallow, barren husk of another throwaway film for babies with no sense of object permanence yet. Can't say it's completely laugh free, and it is cool to see Jim Ward's lovable doofus Captain Qwark (albeit a watered-down version) sharing the screen with cinematic heavyweights like Sylvester Stallone and Paul Giamatti - but otherwise it's a profoundly nothing experience. Also pretty ironic that they attempted to reboot a story where capital ran rampant and turned everybody into selfish, greedy assholes into one of the most bastardized corporate attempts at appealing to a broader demographic by shucking away all its personality and slapping on the most overused trite template that all of these dumbass cash-grab children's dumps which do little more than insult kids' intelligence use. If I have to see one more movie about a bland wide-eyed dreamer who dreams of being something more and they get it for no reason I'm going to sue. For the record I also do not side with the people complimenting this cold, soulless, chintzy animation. The new characters reek and it's boring as fuck. Even the weaker games are miles better than this dirt.

Crystal's life pretty much sucks - she was abandoned at birth, she feels a burden to her adoptive brother and his pregnant wife and, on top of that, she has just assaulted her boss! She wishes she could just be whisked away from it all until she is then she just wants to get home to her miserable life... until she goes on an adventure with a few rather handsome, extremely hot men, especially one who she would give anything to be with but he is betrothed to another, on this adventure can she find more than herself?

This is the first book in a new series by the author, a fantastically written story with some twists and turns. Talk about having some saucy dreams honestly I was blushing! Totally understandable though! The style Nicola has written in everything just flows and there's no confusion about what's happening, she makes it so easy to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline, the camaraderie between the group and the way they fit together is just like a jigsaw puzzle, they were meant to find each other. I've read other books by Nicola and I get so into her writing I get lost in the worlds she has created. She has got a fantastic style and has you captured with every written word it doesn't seem forced or let's put that bit in it fills a gap, I cannot give her enough praise.

I highly recommend this book and give Nicola.M.Cameran's other books a read. I can't wait to read the next one.

The Game by Sylvie Stewart

Four Stars

I liked this story a lot. Gavin was too cute with his boyish charm and looks. I thought it was really funny that he was the youngest in his group and that they called him Junior. I admired the way that he putted himself up after drowning in self pity for two years. He was doing everything he could to better himself. He wasn’t big headed or egotistical. He was so patient through it all and I know I wouldn’t have done the same. I would’ve blew up at Emmy for the things she did. Emmy was so hard working and hard so much strength. I didn’t understand how her dad couldn’t be proud of her. It sucks because even in 2017 we still have people like Emmy's dad. They only see people in status and careers. They don’t see that these people work just as hard and most times harder then themselves. Judging them by their background not by their actions. It’s a very sad thing when a daughter can’t be proud to take her man in front of her dad and receive his approval. I did think Emmy tried to hard to please her father. She put so much in getting his smiles and approval that she lacked a life and knowledge of relationships. Through some of the earlier chapters I didn’t really like her. She was so indecisive not really knowing what she wanted but having Gavin along anyway. Je was very mature in handling her doubts and rejections. The author did a really good job on this story and I cant wait to get the next one.
