A dark stain on human history
The story of Matthew Hopkins' sister is gripping from start to finish, almost gut-wrenching knowing what's to come. The witch trials in Britain are rarely documented unlike the trials of Salem. Hence reading this historical fiction almost brought the disgrace to life. You have pure empathy for the sister Alice, who attempts throughout to thwart her brother's evil plans. But it raises the question of complicity and innocence and how far gone Alice had crossed the line. Matthew's character is purely psychopathic, and he truly is a villain in every sense. A fantastic, detailed read.

Slightly overhyped - lost concentration
By the time I reached the end I actually had to ask myself who the hell the suspect was which says it all. I think the premise of it is dark, gritty and fascinating - is the detective involved far too flawed a character to be trusted or is he being framed by an evil genius? Unfortunately with all the various characters and sub-plots introduced, I lost focus and ended up losing the story thread as well. Detective Faulkes' character is well- written but I think the novel literally loses the plot.

WOW! Simply wow
Wow. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this book. From the earliest pages the reader becomes drawn into the smallest pieces of the characters lives. When the world falls into absolute chaos upon the release of a deadly virus that wipes out the majority of the world, it becomes vital to bring together the survivors. With some of the typical "King" flair and some help from the super natural folks are drawn to good or evil. This is easily one of the best books ever written.

Finn is having very strange and vivid dreams that find him in the Magic Kingdom of Disney World. Turns out it’s a side effect of his status as a holographic host. And he and the other hosts must figure out a way to stop an evil that is spreading through the park. I must admit the most characters were rather weak and plot had a couple big holes. But, Disney fanatic that I am, I couldn't put this young adult novel down.

Join Jack, May, and Phillip as they journey through this alternative take on fairy tales. All the characters you know are here, and help or keep our trio from completing their quest to save their kingdom from an evil plot.

All three books in the series are in this set, and they are all compelling reads. You'll want to read them all back to back. There's action, great characters, plot twists, and sarcasm. You can't go wrong.

Some secret won't remain buried....because you need to bury them.
A mother and her four kids emigrate from the United Kingdom to America to escape her evil husband. Sadly the mother dies shortly after moving and the kids fend for themselves, keeping it secret she's gone.

The father finds them, but they fend him off....but a ghost seems to be bothering them.

It was an interesting movie to watch and I have to admit I didn't see the twist coming....I think the tagline was quite misleading though.

This is hands down my favourite Harry Potter book!!

Everything I loved from the first two books continues in this book, the themes of friendship, good and evil and of course the humour.

In this book Harry, Ron and Hermione get up to more mischief, embark on new adventures and even begin new lessons.

One of the great things about this book, is the slight variation in story line. Instead of battling Lord Voldemort at the end of the school year there is a different enemy to defeat.

Obviously fully recommend this book as everyone should read Harry Potter.

My vote for GOTY
A kind of alt history world where prehistoric meets futuristic. Take down, control, and run for your life against robotic AI controlled animals and evil bandits in this open world rpg. Great gameplay, gadgets, story, graphics, and just down right enjoyable to play. It's in a league of it's own as far as story. Unlock the mystery behind who you are and why the world needs you, along the way you will.meet characters that will make.you miss them when it's over, enemies who will make you think to beat them and hunting like.never before.

Eric is getting comfy in New York whie Kory and Beth are Underhill trying to find a way to conceive a chid that won't kill a bunch of people.
An evil elf wants revenge for the death of his loved one and wants to cause the destruction of the world.
I really enjoyed this book because it ties up some of the threads that were left hanging in the last one (Mainly, what happened with Threshold and Jeanette). This series go by fairly quickly and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would
