No hesitation in recommending
Loved it, loved it, loved it!
What a fantastic first book in a new series - murder, suspense, action, intrigue, twists and turns aplenty and with the fantastic characters, perfect pace and gripping story line, this makes for one excellent book.
Highly recommended and I can't wait for the next one to see how Con develops and what she gets up to next.
Did I say I loved it?!?
Many thanks to the publisher, Wildfire (a part of the Headline Division of Hachette UK) via NetGalley for my copy in return for an unbiased review.

I love all films that are based on true stories and this one is no exception.A powerful and gripping movie that depicts the horrific events that unfolded in the streets and then in the hotel.
The depiction of the hotel staff who stayed behind to protect the guests as best they could was excellent (special mention to Dev Patel and Anupam Ker for their immense performances)
This is one of those movies that didn't get alot of coverage up to its release and probably went unnoticed by alot of people but it is essential viewing.

My only regret is not reading it sooner!
The second outing of mine into the Grishaverse and things have only gotten better. Alina is now seen as a saint and finds herself torn between all that she needs to do and the life and love she truly wants for herself.
The Darkling is coming and she needs to find the strength to stop him however she may get that strength.
With wonderful new characters introduced to us including my favourite Pirate (Privateer) Siege and Storm is an excellent novel to while away these cold winter days.

Excellent Low Price Alternative
Tuinyo Over Ear Stereo Wireless Headset is a fantastic equivalent to some more expensive branded headphones. These are bluetooth and have a 35h playtime with deep bass. Quality materials and stylish design add to the superior sound quality. Connectivity is simple and seamless with no problems on either my Lenovo Laptop or my Sony Xperia XA2 smartphone. The price is amazing considering the quality of the item. A must have if you want style, good sound and quality without the high end prices. A+++++

A delightful little film
I wasnt overly keen on watching this to start with because of Kevin Hart and his constant million miles per running of his mouth but after this my opinion on him has changed a little.
This was a delightful little film (I've never seen the original) that showed the relationship between an ex convict (Hart) who becomes the carer for a quadriplegic (cranston).Hart held his own in this and really should take on more roles like this in the future, cranston and nicole kidman were excellent also.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Big Little Lies - Season 2 in TV

A very good 2nd series
I breezed through the 2nd series very quickly, again only 7 episodes long. Perry's Mum, the excellent Meryl Streep, turns up and has many questions about her sons death. Will the Monterey 5 be able to keep it together or will many things start to unravel for them? It's maybe not as dramatic as the first series storyline or have as many big reveals. However the writing is just as good and the story is gripping. If you liked the first series you should like this as well.

Ross (3284 KP) rated Before Watchmen: The Comedian in Books

Some interesting historical links
The Comedian's part of the pre-Watchmen series continues the link to actual historical events and people. Edward Blake, the Comedian, is a good friend of the Kennedy brothers and regularly helps them out in various ways. Blake is then sent to Vietnam, initially as a boost to morale for the US troops, but he soon embarks on a trademark campaign of terror across the jungle.
The overall story wasn't to my tastes, but some excellent artwork and nice historical links. Plus something of an origin story for his trademark smiley face logo.

Very immersive experience
Back to the Front
I've been waiting to see this for a while, especially after seeing a slight behind the scenes trailer showing the great lengths they went to get continuous shots. After all the awards and great reviews expectations were high. I wasn't disappointed.
It's an immersive, gripping drama that will make you feel like you are there, taking part in the mission against the odds. It's not quite one long take but you'll barely notice. It's like a new cinema experience and an awesome one at that. Make sure you see it on the big screen.

Okay Thriller but nothing mind blowing
I won this in the giveaway. To be honest I don't read that many crime or thriller novels as they kind of all blur into one. This was very well written and the pacing was excellent. I just didn't find the story very credible, I know it is fiction, but still needs to be believable. I think the big plot twist at the end would have been more shocking if all the media hype had not left it's own breadcrumbs. Maybe don't read any of the hype before reading.
