I was completely blown away with the world building, the characters and the way the author weaved this fantastic tale. Full of adventure, fantasy and just completely well rounded. Highly recommend it.

Hard to visualize the chalk battles, even with a good imagination. (0 more)
Loved this story, with everything from the history of the world to the intense drama created by chalk drawings. Wow.

Superbly dark storytelling
Bored of the usual heroes? Give Jorg Ancrath a try - he is possibly the darkest protagonist in fantasy fiction, and yet you still find yourself rooting for him.
Excellent plot, told brilliantly and compulsive reading.

Just got done reading King's Dark Tidings by Kel Kade and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Was very fast paced so didn't really leave a lot of time to get bored. I would highly recommend it for fantasy readers.

I think that for the first in the series it was entertaining and intriguing. I enjoyed it though I'm unsure whether it should be paranormal romance or urban fantasy. Either way I'll be reading more of this series.
