I love everything Adam Silvera comes up with and every time it's soul destroying, He so carefully creates his characters and you feel their emotions and heartache and damn does he know how to make you feel. As soon as I read the summary I knew that this was the book for me, it had everything I love in fiction and it didn't disappoint. It's raw and honest from the first age to the last page and even though you find out about the history and present simultaneously you're still constantly uncovering things you didn't expect. He also handles the topic of OCD very well, it's not romanticized and it's portrayed as very very real.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and Dundurn Press
This book was a delight! I wasn't expecting to fall in love with it as much as I did because usually, I'm not the biggest fan of literary fiction but this broke my heart. A touching story about loss, dealing with grief and also touches deeply on mental health and the importance of relationship and communication. I loved how this story unfolded and how we only ever knew Elias through the eyes of Coen adding to the mystery. The ending was not what I expected but I loved it. There is so much heart in this book and I definitely recommend it!

3.5 stars, i think.
I guess the storyline might not be for everyone but i didn't have a problem with it--it is fiction after all. I liked the description of Hawaii, it sounds beautiful, and kinda deadly. I loved the connection between all the co-workers, they really were like one big family.
I loved the second chance romance, though I found it a little strange how suddenly Logan's attitude changed to Ronnie. One minute they're arguing and winding each other up, the next they're kissing and admitting their love for each other. I know it'd been brewing in the background for seven years but... yeah, i didn't quite understand it.

Erika (17789 KP) rated Alien Worlds in TV

This pseudo-documentary is really hard to define. It utilizes science, and science-fiction to great these different worlds with their our different flora, fauna, animals and landscape. Each episode is a new planet. It was definitely thought provoking.
I'm torn on the VFXs, I felt like they helped, but in some ways, hurt the program. At some points, it was a little shoddy, but at other times, it was great and visually appealing. It was definitely worth watching, and I would be willing to watch another season.
Forgot to mention, I loved Sophie Okonedo as the narrator. I've been a fan of hers since Aeon Flux, and her voice was amazing for this program.
