Bizarre
No wonder this went straight to DVD in the UK. It is a gritty, raw film with some graphic, brutal violence....as you would expect. However the film does just feel a bit of a mess overall and a big disappointment after the great 2007 remake of the original Halloween film was done so well. The visions of his Mum at least offer an idea in to Michael's mind but the film just seemed all over the place at times.

After putting off watching this film for some time I decided to give it a go one evening after hearing all of my friends praise it. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it as much as they said I would. Even though Hugh Jackman and Zach Efron were brilliant actors I just couldn’t bring myself to put all of my attention into watching the film. I would recommend this film if you enjoy musicals but I wouldn’t bother watching it again.

The film is nicely done and the CGI is lovely, as is the film, I was laughing at parts of the film and thinking to myself, what a lovely film for the kids to see and I bet they would love it, it’s quite fast-paced and they really isn’t a moment when I child could get bored, though they are those moments when little boys will say “Ewwwww they’re kissing”, but that’s part of the charm of the movie.

A nice surprise!
A surprising good Horror film that is definitely different to the normal Slasher. A small group hire an old barn in a remote area to make an adult film. The old couple on the farm find out which lead to a series of events to unfold.
For a low budget indie film it was really good, creepy, sinister, with good gore effects as well. A prequel Film Pearl was made at same time.

The level of details put in
Brilliant animation
A greatly detailed animation film that is full of fun. You can tell when an animation film has had a lot of time, care and thought put into it. The quality of the lighting, shadows, reflections and even fur are up there with the best animations. It's bright and colourful as well to appeal to the kids. I didn't notice the strong voice cast until the credits came up including Jackie Chan, to have all of them in one film is impressive, in an animated film even more so. This is a funny film all ages should enjoy.

The best Wolverine film by far
This is the Wolverine film we've all been waiting for, and this is the kind of film they should've made to begin with (instead of the Origins etc).
This is a very fitting final outing for Wolverine. I loved the violence, it's refreshing to see a more adult Marvel film for a change - possibly taking it's lead from Deadpool? Some great turns from Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart too. My only complaint would be that the film gets a bit repetitive - Wolverine goes somewhere to hide out, gets found, fights, moves on - could've done without this quite so many times.

What sounded (and looked, from the trailer) like a good film actually ended up being a complete disappointment - the film starts off quite promising, but with a combination of characters whom have nothing to like about them, and an increasingly stupid storyline, which beggars all belief towards the end of the film, this falls flat on all counts.
The film obviously aims to create the atmosphere that the movie ‘Get Out’ provides, but ends up creating a disgustingly racist scenario that leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.
Overall, this could have been a good film, but it’s inexcusable racism and ridiculous ending make it an unpleasant viewing.

Gore - what is it good for?
I don't think it's spoilery to say don't come to this film expecting a typical WW2 film. Yes it's set on the eve of D Day but most people know by now this is a bloody horror film not a war film. It's gory - oh so gory! There is one scene in particular that is so good that I was cringing and laughing at the same time - and yes you will end up laughing as this is not a serious film. But it doesn't try to be. It's Nazis getting very violently dispatched and honestly who doesn't enjoy that.

Just came across this film as flicking through channels and lost count how many times seen this amazing film. Even as a man I can say how this story moves me and brings a whole bunch of emotions throughout the film. It's very captivating and a well told story which will live on for many many years as one of the all time greatest films of my time. Can't say enough how this film brings back so many memories and emotions yet still will watch it when ever its on.
