Another Potter
Harry Potter. The small boy with the lightning-shaped scar and the broken glasses made my childhood days magical and filled with hope that someday my letter to Hogwarts would come.

Alas my dream never came true, although every time there is post I secretly pray there is a piece of parchment sent to me by the wizarding school, apologising for it being late (11 years late!) that there was a clerical error made by one of the owls but if I would accept they would love to have me at Hogwarts.

Naturally, I would not say yes the first time...I do love being chased!

Disney Villainous

Overall I fell in love with Villainous, with some minor hiccups with some of the rules at first, I ended up having such fun. I can’t wait to play it again with a different villain but I also can’t wait for the next instalment The Worst Takes it All which introduces Hades from Hercules, The Wicked Stepmother from Snow White and Dr Facilier from Princess and the Frog. There are so many villains that I would love to play as and I think this is where the game has its biggest strength, the characters and how each time you play it will be an entirely different experience.

This book and the previous in the series, The Mark Of The Raven are both amazing and I Love them!
The characters are great, their development and the romance - and I usually am not big on romance, slow burn. The inner turmoil and fight with good and bad choices was fantastic. Well developed, great story and plot and everything. I can’t wait to read the next book or maybe reread the first two again.
This series is reminding me so much of Muirwood series by Jeff Wheeler that I LOVE so much!
If you haven’t checked this out, Get on it! You don’t want to miss these fab books!

"Again, the cover is incredible, her stance is so powerful. I didn’t realise when I first heard it, but a lot of the songs were actually covers, and yet, because her voice is so characterful and commanding, anything that she sings just suddenly sounds like a Grace Jones record. I love the musicianship on Nightclubbing, I love the interplay between the instruments, and it just feels like a really original-sounding record. It was actually quite an influence on me on my latest album—this idea that you know your voice should be this commanding force that just makes everything else sound like it falls into line because your voice is so dominant."

"#5, I’ll put Galaxy Quest. I know Galaxy Quest is not a great movie, but I love that movie, and I’ve seen it over and over and over, and I still love it just as much. I think Tim Allen portraying a Kirk-like character is so damn funny. I think that’s one of the best “fan” films ever made. And the fake Spock guy was great, yeah. That movie’s really funny. We saw it when it first came out — my family has a tradition of always going to a movie on Christmas afternoon, and we went and saw that one. It was such a great family moment, too. It brings back good memories."

I love everything Adam Silvera comes up with and every time it's soul destroying, He so carefully creates his characters and you feel their emotions and heartache and damn does he know how to make you feel. As soon as I read the summary I knew that this was the book for me, it had everything I love in fiction and it didn't disappoint. It's raw and honest from the first age to the last page and even though you find out about the history and present simultaneously you're still constantly uncovering things you didn't expect. He also handles the topic of OCD very well, it's not romanticized and it's portrayed as very very real.

This was a cover buy for me for sure. But I didn't NOT like it.

Makani is stuck living with her grandma in nowhere Nebraska, being shipped off by her parents who are struggling through a divorce in Hawaii, when their small Nebraska town suddenly becomes home to a serial killer.

Love the idea, didn't love the pacing. The first half was slow for me. Halfway through we are told who the killer is. Which initially I hated, but the second half definitely picked up speed, and the ending, while a little unbelievable, did redeem the book overall for me.

If nothing else, this was a good way to end spooky season!
