A real page turner. Shocker.
Just give me a minute to pick my jaw up off the floor after that outcome and twist. Wow. Not expected at all and a true shocker! Wow. I devoured this book within a day and loved it!

I loved how the story was told through therapy sessions within the hospital… There is a lot of back and forth within this book but the author has made it clear when its changes so there is no confusion. A cleverly written, thrilling story you will not want to put down.

Can easily be finished in one sitting. It was brilliant. Would highly recommend this to you all. A well deserved five stars! A true shocker. Jaw dropping. Addictive. A real page turner. Loved reading every minute of this one.

I thought that this was a pretty good book! From what I had heard from other friends, however I thought it would be more creepy. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I think that I may have a different sense of what is creepy than they do, though. It was a fun, quick read with really cool illustrations. If you want a good read that will only take a couple of hours. I highly suggest this book. There were a lot of moments I found predictable, but I was still intrigued by the ideas of the novel. I gave it a four out of five stars because I wanted it to kick up the creepy factor a notch, but all-in-all it was a really good book!

YAY!

I've given this five stars for several reasons.

One: A reunion between Gin and Owen! (I'm so happy!!!)

Two: Sophia's backstory with the Grimes siblings played a huge part of this and it was nice to know--but not necessarily nice reading--how she came to be how she is.

Three: ...Two's enough, right?

Anyway. I'm so glad that Gin is the way she is, that everyone she classes as family--whether related or not--are treated rightly and if not, she will go out and get them justice.

As for book 10, I may put it off for a few books as from what I've read it delves into Gin's history and how she became The Spider. I'll come back to it at some point though :)

So, if you've read my reviews of Vols 1-2 of Jeff Lemire's BLACK HAMMER, then it goes without saying that SHERLOCK FRANKENSTEIN.. would be a win, right? Not so. Let me elaborate..

The writing was top notch, nothing less than the almost always exemplary writing that we've come to expect from Jeff Lemire. The art, however, not good. I was not previously familiar with David Rubin's art, but after this, I have no interest in seeking works by him.

The art was silly, almost cartoon. Not like Dean Ormston's. It took away from the story as a whole, making it feel like a pantomime or something. Again, not a good artist choice for any future BLACK HAMMER-related projects! If not the disappointing art, I would definitely have given this five stars!

Holy freaking cow - I just found my new Tarryn favorite! There were so many ups and downs, so many twists and turns. I was scared to reach the end but desperate to know it. I was afraid to hope, afraid to love, because Tarryn is not known for happily ever after. F*uck Love was a relentless roller coaster of emotions; I experienced confusion, pain, love, heartache, anger and defiance. I haven't felt so motivated to cheer a character on, practically beg them to pursue their love interest, despite being otherwise spoken for, since Colleen Hoover introduced me to Sydney and Ridge in Maybe Someday. THAT is when you know the story has touched you - when you're willing to bypass your own morals to allow love to conquer. Well done, Tarryn. Five stars indeed.

straight back up to 5 stars!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

We met Rhys and Wade in book 3, but I would say you don't need to read the other books before this one. You don't NEED to, but you'd get a better enjoyment of these if you did. And this is book 6, so get a-reading!

Wade and Rhys are partners in the firm that Gabe works for. They've know each other some 16 years. Rhys has lusted over and loved Wade for 12 of those years, and Wade has lusted over Rhys for just 12 months. 12 months ago, he caught Rhys pleasuring himself and calling out Wade's name when he did. So, 6 weeks. They have 6 weeks to get whatever *this* is, out their system. But will 6 weeks really be enough??

Did I mention that I made a new shelf for these books? No?? Oh, well I did, and I called it "fan yourself, it's a hot one!" Books one, two and three are sitting there, and now they are joined by book 6!

Because Rhys and Wade have blow your socks off chemistry! That much was obvious when we met them before but here? Once these guys admit they are doing this, this proposition, they are all in and I think they could probably give Cam and Gabe run for their money!

I loved that both men, separately of each other, came to the conclusion, very quickly, that 6 weeks would NEVER ever be enough. That it took a silly misunderstanding on Rhys' part for them to openly admit their feelings.

Loved that Gabe and Cam (books one and three) and Ethan and Joe (book two) take part here. Luke and Ash (books for and five) are mentioned, but don't appear.

These guys do say those three little words, but they also have another book planned, which is book 9, so I'd say they have their Happy For Now, rather than a Happy Ever After.

Who is book 7 and 8?? No idea, don't care, wanna read them regardless! A certain someone is a little hard done by here, and I'd love for him to have his own book.

After books one through three were five stars, we slipped a little with four and five, but whoosh! Just like that, we're back up to..

5 super sexy stars!!
