"As a student I was so moved by his paintings of music that I needed to know more. I discovered this book and the imperative to insert a deeper meaning into my work became very clear, Kandinsky taught that it was possible to do so through technique which, in turn, inspired me to take what I do -even the funny things- much more seriously."

"I love Kay Thompson! This is a wonderfully interesting, true story that still hasn't been made into a movie! Truth be told I considered optioning this for a film. The incredibly talented and eccentric Kay made her mark in history with her iconic (Vreelandesque) role in Funny Face, her classic children's book Eloise, and her famous nightclub act — just parts of an incredible journey and life."

"This movie is unbelievable. It was my first introduction to Peter Sellers and I was like, “Who is this guy?” He is so funny and innocent, and so perfect — and what a story, man. The end scene where he walks away on water, I thought, “Oh my gosh, this guy is God. He’s so simple, but he touched all these people and changes them.”"

"I had a chance to work with Mr. [Milos] Forman [in Goya’s Ghosts]. Again, Cuckoo’s Nest and the performances, and what the movie talks about is really amazing. I had a chance to work with Mr. Forman and he’s so funny, such an amazing person to be around. He doesn’t take himself too seriously at all. That’s the greatest thing, having the talent that he had."

"I watched Let It Ride, which was spoiled by the fact that the director did not know how important it was to keep the eye-lines correct. So everyone in the movie seems to be doing a Harold Lloyd imitation, and we’re slightly goofy because we’re not quite looking at the right spot. But other than that, it’s hysterically funny, so I would include that."

Better than expected
Carrying on from the old National Lampoon's Vacation series of films. I didn't expect much from this to be honest but found it a lot funnier than I expected. Some good cameos as well. Although it's not as funny as the original, which is hilarious, this does a good enough job of re-creating the fun of the Vacation films.

"I love Being There, it’s one of my favorite movies — with Peter Sellers, who I thought was brilliant. I love how underplayed but so incredibly funny it was, you know… dry. [Laughs] There’s something wonderful about the misconceptions [about the main character] that create the simplicity of all of it. The misconceptions create a simplicity which then creates this aura. I love that movie."

"For funny movies, Scorsese — you know, I have an affection for The King of Comedy. It’s just fun to watch. I like Rupert Pupkin… it’s hilarious. I like that it’s dark, and how this guy gets to be famous. But I like De Niro’s performance; I like Jerry Lewis; I like Sandra Bernhard. I like the Ray Charles song that comes on at the beginning. It’s terrific."

Stephen Fry is so tedious. He thinks he is so clever and funny and so above the rest of the world. His screenplay and direction show that. The movie is based on Evelyn Waugh's Vile Bodies, though the dialogue and situations. The acting is mostly good, though the characters are not very likable. The standouts are Michael Sheen and Fenella Woolgar. They are both delightful.

Funny- sarcastic humour is relatable. (0 more)
Sad moments-you will probably cry. (0 more)
Something unique. Not like all the other tv shows so entertaining yet its only about everyday problems. Its also deeper in that it shows how people cope differently with grief. It really does walk to line between sad and hilarious as you see the main character use sarcasm to deal with his wife’s death.
