Well an ok Action Comedy film with a decent cast. Hugh Grant pretty much playing a billionaire version of his character from Guy Ritchie's @The Gentlemen (2020) complete with same voice. There are some good action scenes and some funny one liners. Despite the budget though it doesn't have a blockbuster feel to it and doesn't reach the heights of many similar films in this genre.

This movie was a real joy to watch:
It was entertaining, hilarious, a lot of the effects were beautiful or amazing (or both), and had a great story.
I've heard criticisms of the running time and the fact that the movie was far too funny for their tastes.
At over two hours, I had feared that the movie would be bloated or would have too many slow lulls. I don't remember coming across these problems: each moment seemed to either push the story forward, entertain, or give insight to future events.
As for it being "too funny," I didn't have a problem with that. I enjoyed it. In fact, I expected it to be hilarious given that the previews for the movie were hilarious. And there were certainly serious moments as well.
The actors did a great job embodying the characters and I loved the addition of the Valkyrie character.
I highly recommend watching this movie with friends or anyone that wants to have a good time.

I love Kirstan Higgins so much. She's a good writer, she's funny, she's clever, her characters are awesome, and there's always a cute dog or cat.
Also she rocks at writing kissing scenes. WOW!.
The number-one thing I love about her novels is this: She writes these awesome contemporary romance novels, but she doesn't litter them with explicit sex, which I DON'T like to read (I mean really, I feel like I'm sneaking into a XXX movie when I read stuff like that. It's private, man! The characters don't want you to know what's going on under the sheets!).
Anyway, Until There Was You didn't disappoint. Liam was amazing, Posey was sweet, Nicole (the daughter) was adorable, and the family was family: a-typical in every way and funny and weird and full of life. I love it. I wish I could keep this book forever instead of bringing it back to the library. I tore through this thing in like five hours... I stayed up until 4am reading.
But hey, other people have to read it too, right?

Funny (at parts) (1 more)
Some stories provoked good thought.
It took me almost four months to read and it wasn’t even 300 pages.
“I have been reading this damn book off and on since October of 2018. I honestly really struggled with it. I honestly only bought it and started reading it because it was written by @picturesoftext and I was REALLY curious to read some of his work. Some of the stories were actually really cute, or funny, or thought-inducing. However, a lot of it was filled with weird stories that I didn’t quite understand (though I’m sure that’s the point). I would have enjoyed it more if some parts of the separate stories intersected or crossed over. Anyways, this is definitely the kind of book that I could have seen BJ’s character on The Office writing while at his temp desk! .
.
I gave it 3/5 stars on Goodreads, and be sure to look out for my review of it tomorrow on Smashbomb!”

Weird Choices for Music (1 more)
Overwhelming Music in Some Scenes
Looking Forward to the Next Movie
Everybody loves Deadpool and this film was a great continuation to the first film. Although the jokes got a little gimmicky at some points my biggest and probably my only real complaint to this film would be the music. In the last movie the music was spot on every single time, however in this second film the music overwhelmed many of the scenes and we rent good choices for the scenes playing out. I hated the addition of Annie during a serious scene, a different song choice could have made the scene but rather it made the whole thing awkward and broke the moment. I understand it was meant to be played over as funny in the spirit of Deadpool but rather it broke the scene and the magic of Deadpool, a true moment where they simply tried to hard. Beyond this the film was great, true to Deadpool and even as it tackled series topics it held a funny overtone just as Deadpool should

This is good book. It great for children. The pictures are very colorful and funny. It story itself is funny and enjoyable. You do learn something or moral. If you are looking for a laugh. This book will have you a laughing though out the book.
The book is sweet and humor. Does your little one like monsters well this book got a few. Telling your mom and dad is bad. How to to know you would need to read. This is a fast and easy read. The picture are colorful and fun to see. The picture will make you laugh and will keep your eyes on them for a few minutes.
Monsters and more Monsters everywhere. Can anyone feed a family of Monsters? We will not know but maybe you can. They seem to like socks and homework. To find out you will need to read the book. Why do monster like socks and make them disappear. The setting is a cute. Can Ryan and his friend find out this little mystery about missing socks?

Kyera (8 KP) rated For Magnus Chase: Hotel Valhalla, Guide to the Norse Worlds in Books
Feb 1, 2018
This was your typical, hilarious Rick Riordan companion novel. Like Percy Jackson telling us in his witty way about Greek mythology in the two books about Greek Gods and Greek Heroes
Various residents of Hotel Valhalla tell us about Norse mythology. It was filled with interviews, stories and jokes. Part encyclopedia and part comedy sketch. I do wish that it was longer and more in depth. Generally, people know more about Greek mythology than they do about other types, so it would be great to have a more expansive discussion about the gods, goddesses, monsters and origin stories in Norse Mythology. Perhaps this will be rectified in a future expanded novel? That would be my one criticism for this book, otherwise it was a fantastic, quick, funny read. Highly recommended for middle grade and young adult readers who are already fans of Rick Riordan's, love fantasy, mythology, funny books or pretty much anything else. I just recommend that you read the Magnus Chase series before delving into this book to give yourself a little familiarity.

A fun cast
Its just a fun movie
This is a fun movie. You should not take this seriously. I have found myself quoting this more and more as the years went on. I saw this again and again as a child and watching it again after so long I can appreciate it a lot more.
Leslie Nielson is great as Dracula. He brings in a fun, charming performance as always. Not his best role but does a good job with it.
Peter MacNicol as Renfield is by far my favourite character right from the start. He is funny, crazy with some amazing lines. He is where my favourite quotes come from mostly.
This is a typical Mel brooks spoof movie. He directs and stars and is quite funny. The rest of the cast I wasn't that interested about to be honest.
Not sure if it's intentional but the acting isn't the greatest but still a lot of fun.

Sarah (7800 KP) rated Game Night (2018) in Movies

Better than expected
I need to start by saying that I’ve never been a fan of mainstream comedies, however this one is actually quite good - mainly because of the excellent cast.
I’ve always liked Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman, and they have great chemistry together in this. Billy Magnussen is really funny as the dumb blonde, and there’s some great support from Kyle Chandler and Sharon Horgan. However it’s Jesse Plemons that steals the show as the bonkers creepy neighbour. He’s so deadpan that you can’t help but laugh whenever he’s on screen.
The plot itself is simple and straightforward although fairly entertaining. It’s funny in parts although I didn’t find it particularly hilarious (probably my sense of humour). I did think some of the twists at the end were fairly fun. I love games though, so can really relate to the competitiveness and wish I could persuade my friends to have weekly game nights! I do think it gets a bit cringey in parts and a bit ridiculous, but it’s still an enjoyable fun film.
