Darkly funny thriller
A truly binge worthy show. I got through the 8 episodes in just a few sessions. A mix of cat and mouse spy thriller as a Mi6 agent tracks a female assassin. It has plenty of often dark humour to go with it. The first few episodes made me think of the Hitman 47 game as the assassin goes to great lengths to make their hit. It slows down a bit for the last couple of episodes and the storyline became a little bit odd. Overall though it's a very enjoyable, classy series.

A New Favorite

I absolutely loved this book. Brandy is one of the best characters I've come across in a while. She's funny, and extremely realistic. Jer her love interest, is a great addition to the story. He has everything going for him in a way that makes him extremely dreamy. He also has just enough flaws to keep him from outshining the other characters.
If you are interested in a romantic comedy featuring a late bloomer, then this is definitely a book you should pick up.

Terrible ending
So this started out interesting, and had it's funny points. Some parts got fairly slow by the middle of the film, but it was still entertaining. However, the last 30 -45 minutes were pretty bad. The ending was horrible- it just stops, like the main part of the ending was left on the cutting room floor, or the writers just gave up on trying. I would recommend watching it just to entertain the idea of downsizing. It made for a good thought provoking conversation afterwards.

Well I spotted this was directed by Anna Paquin's brother and also had Stephen Moyer from True Blood on the cover, unfortunately they are not the main stars of the film. Rachel Blanchard of the TV series Clueless is the main lead.
This falls into the category of weird films, there isn't a lot of back story or explanation really into the why or what of what is going on. Reminded me a lot of Funny Games. Quite bloody and brutal, ok for a low budget film but a bit more plot would have be nice....and Anna Paquin!

Sonofdel (6291 KP) rated Del Boy: You Know It Makes Sense in Books

Hilarious and Entertaining
For anyone like me who loved and continues to love Only Fools and Horses then this is a must. Its basically a help manual written by Del Boy about how to succeed in Business (i know its ironic :)). It contains lots of references to things that happened in the entire series, but it also contains a lot more. It tells what hapened after Only Fools and Horses. From Damian running the business (TITCo) to Rodney having a nervous breakdown, its all included and makes for a very funny read.

Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated Kodachrome (2017) in Movies
Jul 6, 2019
In dying there was death, in more ways than one. And to fully develop that statement you'll need to watch what is one of my favorite movies of 2017, Kodachrome. It's as moving as it is funny, and Ed Harris, Jason Sudeikis, and Elizabeth Olsen all deliver amazing performances in what I feel for each is one of their best 'film roles'. If the movie looks out of focus by the end, it's not. That'll just be the tears in your eyes. Don't let this movie flash by, like life has a tendency to, without seeing it.

Great series! Needs to be watched by anyone with a dark sense of humour and a pinch of unsocialism..

All 3 seasons are pretty spectacular so I can't say any in particular would be my favourite but this season has some of the best episodes. Hello? Pickle Rick? Hilarious! Vindicators needs a fourth mission! So funny! And the ABCs of Beth episode was so weird I can't help but remember it.... The ending however! So frustrating! I can't believe I'm waiting 2 years if not more for th season 4.... Wubba Lubba Dub Dub am I right?

Old School Action
Rewatched this in UHD and it's still as good today as it was when first released 31 years ago!.
A very simple plot (as was the case with these type of movies back then and now) with Arnold as a fish out of water russian cop trying to track a bad guy drug dealer who has fled from moscow to chicago.A wise cracking american cop (belushi) is Arnold's guide through chicago as he hunts down the bad guy..Some funny one liners and old school action set pieces make this an enjoyable film.

Dumb Ways to Die in one word: Hilarious.
A game based on the Darwin Awards is a brilliant idea, and the games creators should be proud of themselves.
The levels are always entertaining, sometimes tricky, and probably not suitable for playing in public. Mainly because you occasionally have to blow into the microphone for some reason, or steer with your phone, and you do tend to look ridiculous.
Well worth a play, and a listen, as there is a song, which will get stuck in your head!

EmersonRose (320 KP) rated Persuasion in Books

This was the second time I read this book. I re-read it because I was attempting to get my family to read the book but ended up just reading most of it by myself. I love this book and find that it might be my favorite Austen novel, although Pride and Prejudice will always hold a very special place in my nostalgic heart. Persuasion is funny, sweet, and I love the characters, especially Anne. I love watching her confidence in herself grow and the look at how we view ourselves vs. how others view us. Love this book!
