Food and comedy!
A friend recommended this podcast to me and I was hooked from the first episode. Love the format but also like the fact that not all the guests are comedians or friends of the presenters. The podcast is hilarious and features 2 of the best comedians around at the moment, the guests buy straight into the format and really enjoy it when they arrive with the sole intention of winding either Ed or James up. My only issue with this podcast is that I don't have a magical restaurant with a genie waiter!!!

Another great series
Well I've managed to whizz through both series of Fleabag in no time. Again only 6 episodes long around 25 minutes long each. So great when you have a short amount of time to fit something in.
Set around a year after the events of the 1st series with all the same characters again. It's just as funny as the first series if not quite as good, but there is not much in it. If you loved the first series, who doesn't? Then you'll love the humour in this just as much.

Long Shot (2019)
Long Shot (2019)
2019 | Comedy
The type of film that succumbs to the typical and expected Seth Rogen formula, but I absolutely fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Funny, charming, and entertaining. Its raunchiness plays into its believabililty factor, which is relatable for any normal or everyday guy who feels like he's involved with the most beautiful, intelligent, and hardest working woman in the world. And, let's face it, if you're not in that kind of relationship then you're doing it wrong. Long Shot is that fantasy come to life and it makes you feel way better than it should.

A rare insight
I have always liked Mike Harding and this book gives a real insight not just into his childhood but also life in Manchester in the years that followed the second world war. Reading this made me laugh at the real life incidents but also made me ashamed and embarassed about what was happening under the publics nose. I look forward to the next book as this only covers up until he left school and started working for the road department. A good read and well worth the time :)

Powerful and emotional!
Determined to build the best football club in the country, Dimitry hires the German coach, Rudolph Spitz, to galvanize his rag tag team but - when the first Nazi tanks roll through the city and Rebecca, the beautiful daughter of a local banker, elopes with his star player, all Dimitry's plans must change.

A fight for freedom and keeping the nationality, a fight for love, a fight for survival - this is a must watch to everyone that has interest in history, or loves romance or football.

Emotional until the very end, powerful in every scene, and surrounded by funny moments throughout.

Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic

Iron man is fantastic. I dont think anyone else could portray Iron Man as well as Robert Downey Jr. He has captured the perfect amount of arrogance, sass and comedy in this character. I also love his vulnerability and subsequent power found from this with the shrapnel in his chest.

I love the whole idea that this could be true as the technology is quite believable. Jarvis and Pepper are great characters that really bring out the Iron Man character aswell.

The story is good with some interesting twists and turns.

I've seen this film I don't know how many times and I don't think I'll ever get over it. John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell together are gold and I don't care what anyone says! I also recently listened to a podcast that had Adam Scott on and he talked about his experience on Step Brothers and it made me want to watch the film all over again to notice the things he was talking about!

I think this might be my favorite Reilly-Ferrell film - this or Talladega Nights. It's super funny and enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

Essentially just more of the same but not quite as good. There’s still plenty of fun to be had here though even if the story is a bit on the thin side. Some very funny bits and gory kills as well as a crowd pleasing cameo during the end credits. One of the new characters Madison was incredibly irritating and I was longing for her to get eaten but luckily the addition of Rosario Dawson as Nevada to the cast makes amends for this. All in all worthy of your time for an easy fun watch.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry was a book club pick. As a whole, I really enjoyed the story. It was funny, sad, sentimental, frustrating, thoughtful, and hopeful, all in one. However, I didn't like the part with the "pilgrims". That was non-stop irritation for me, and I was thrilled to see that the story quickly moved forward after a couple of chapters. Honestly, I don't think the story would've lacked without that part. I don't think it added anything of true importance, either. Past that, I thought it was a good story that is worth reading.
