This is one of the oldest books still on my Kindle - from 2017 - so it's about time I read it.

It starts with Haley and her friends meeting up to decide what to do the day before graduation. They play pool and meet up with her boyfriend, Seth, and his friends for a few games before heading home to get ready for the big party that's happening. Things don't go well at the party, though, and when Seth disappears Haley and her friends search for him only to end up in a car accident. Fast forward a year and both Haley and Seth find themselves in the same place at the same time and Seth decides to try and make amends for what happened.

I'll admit I wasn't entirely into this. The characters were rather immature at times and how they acted really began to put me off the story. I didn't really gel with the romance or the storyline but I was intrigued about who was behind the accident so I continued to read.

This is a story of love, friendship, forgiveness and second chances. It just didn't work for me.

On the eve of his college graduation, Harry is called home by his step-mother Alice, to their house on the Maine coast, following the unexpected death of his father.

But who really is Alice, his father's much younger second wife? In a brilliant split narrative, Peter Swanson teases out the stories and damage that lie in her past. And as her story entwines with Harry's in the present, things grow increasingly dark and threatening - will Harry be able to see any of it clearly through his own confused feelings?

It was ok. A decent story but a little predictable. A few parts that can possibly be trigger points but that’s what I see writing as taking on those issues that most people shy away from. In my opinion they were both toxic and she got what she deserved in the end! Some would argue she a product of how she was raised! I think I will try a few more books from Peter Swanson.

2 young college students are discussing upcoming plans for their future, and end up sleeping together. Fast forward to graduation and the girl has a pregnancy scare........and at the same time finds out she is pregnant! She celebrates not being pregnant and also tells the guy she slept with that she's pregnant.......confused yet?? Anyway, the guy is supportive and she decides to keep the baby and ditch her future plans of moving to LA, she also moves to LA...... and then asks her parents if she can move in with them until the baby arrives.......

You know what, I'm not even going to try explaining the movie in as much detail as I usually do, because it's pretty much all over the place. Basically it shows 2 different scenarios of a what if situation and it is hard to follow, so it's not a half watch kinda movie. Basically pretend it's the 90s, put down your phone and pay attention, once you do that it's a good movie, and can be an eye opener for anyone struggling to decide between a baby or a career.
